It's not mind boggling to us. If you don't think it's worth it then it's not worth it to you. The part the confuses us is the people who are angry that it exists at all.
The game is worth the $40 I paid for it, I wouldn't have supported it from the get go if I didn't thoroughly enjoy GC3/2. I would have gladly paid $40 on Steam for Super Nova, but I'm not paying $56 to have it on Epic. G

I love GG4 just like I've enjoyed all your other games. But I'm not paying $16 to get the updated version when I already have GC4. I'm not sure why this is so mind boggling to Stardock? In all my years gaming, I've never had this happen.
I believe AotS: Escalation was a free update if I'm remembering correctly. I don't remember if FE:LH was. (I do own both games) Like I've said to exhaustion, if I would have known the plans for GC4 to become GC4:SN and you would have told me it would be released on Steam cheaper than backing GC4 during alpha, beta and release, plus the SN expansion, I never would have purchased on Epic in the first place. I get it.... you want me to pay $16 to upgrade to SN, even though I've a
I think the problem here is not that early supporters on Epic are being asked to pay more for what is effectively an expansion, but that new buyers are being asked to pay less than the early supporters for the game + expansion. If Supernova cost more than early supporters paid on Epic then asking them for a little more for the expansion would make sense, but with the price of Supernova being the same as GC IV then shouldn't early
Are you telling me I have to pay an additional $16 for Supernova if I backed the original early access on Epic? So it's actually another $6 extra which I'm still not too happy about. I love your games, but from now on, I guess I'll wait until they are released on Steam, instead of supporting early on via Epic. You penalize me for hopping on board right when the alpha was released, that doesn't make sense to me.
Love the changes, can't wait to try out the update.
It's being scrapped and I actually liked it over the GC3 ideologies.
If you have a problem with the opt in, go back and opt out and it will restore you to the previous release
Will do, much appreciated! Already like the darker lines for ship range. :)
Nope it is automatic. No worries [e digicons][/e]
Much thanks!
If you opt in for this patch.. when they release the final.. do you have to opt back out? I'm not well versed on these "opt in" patches.
Governors will be free and part of the patches coming up.
I cannot wait until governors are added. Not that I don't like the wheel, but for my planets, I would rather have governors do their thing and I'll tweak the global settings as needed.
Can't wait!!! Game is shaping up nicely!
Wow, have read all the posts in this thread and an interesting discussion. Surprisingly I should be agreeing but I find I am not. Over the last 30 odd years I have played a lot of turn-based games everything from Panzar General, Tthe Operational Art of War, SSG's series of games (Korsun Pocket, Battle of Normandy, etc), John Tiller's Civil War and WWII games, and Gary Grigsby's games, most recently his War in the
