Nothing much changes. Obama gets his second term. He'll lose Indiana, Nebraska #1, and North Carolina from 2008. I think after these three, Romney has a real shot at picking off Iowa, and one of Florida or Ohio, but not both. New Hampshire and Nevada are possible pick-ups, but at best, one of them break for him, but probably not both. He also won't get Virginia. Paul Ryan isn't helping him with Wisconsin. The three red states from 2008 that Obama got close in - Montana, Mi

If you're having trouble with this, I'd suggest creating a custom character, and maxing out stamina points. After that, maybe try against lesser candidates. If that don't work, maybe trying turning down the level you're playing. If that still don't work, custom create an opposition party candidate. Give him minimal stats and/or have them support unpopular positions and/or oppose popular positions. Gran

It really isn't all that complicated at all. I guess since you're not from the United States, the EC is generally confusing, because the office isn't officially decided on Election Night, but several weeks later by nameless people. If I separate myself from what's familiar to me, I guess it does seem silly. But, politics seems silly, and politicians are silly, so it fits. [e digicons][/e] <

I guess another way to explain my point, I'll just use my state - Wisconsin - as an example. In 2012, I would expect the following results by congressional district. 1. Obama 2. Obama 3. Obama 4. Obama 5. Romney 6. Romney 7. Obama 8. Romney I'll just set aside a few facts. For one thing, CDs 7 and 8 are the mos

I'd still prefer the Maine/Nebraska method, but this ain't too bad an idea. I'd have to think that in order to balance out the numbers for proportionality to make sense, you'd want to look at election returns for a decent length of time, and get a feel for how the states historically have shaken out, at least as far as margin of victory goes. I don't think it matters much if elephant or donkey dominate a state, or the states tend to move around supp

I have never done any sort of modding to a game before, and am really not sure if I should start. Anyways, for someone who really don't know their way around this process, is it pretty easy to do? Would it be better to add issues, or edit current issues? If I make a mistake, how would I fix it? If anyone could help me with answers here, I would appreciate it. I see one enormous issue that's missing from the game, and a few issues are in

You do raise a good point, but I still think the Electoral College really is the way to go. As I said before, if anything, I'd tweak the system to have all the states allot the EC votes to resemble what Maine and Nebraska do. Have a candidate win 2 points for carrying that state's total popular vote, and they win 1 point for each congressional district they win the popular vote in. Granted, you'd still have states like Rhode Island, for example,

I agree. If a running mate is gonna cost stamina points, it would be nice if he/she could be allowed to give a speech or something. Truth is, a running mate is a major part of the campaign team during election season. Gotta be a way to reflect that somehow.

I can't believe that there's nothing for the issue of audit/end the Federal Reserve. Perhaps the next update could include that issue? Obviously, you'd have to tweak Ron Paul's and Newt Gingrich's stats to include the audit. For Paul, it was a major issue of importance, and Gingrich had it as a minor issue. Also, drop the value of marijuana legalization for Paul. It's never been a primary focus of any of his campaig

As far as the Electoral College is concerned, absolutely we keep it. [e digicons][/e] The only change I would make to it is to have all of the states do the same thing Maine and Nebraska do, assign two "points" for the candidate who carries the popular vote of the state, and one "point" for carrying the popular vote in each congressional district. The entire reason for having it is based on our design. We were designed to be mo

One change I would have made? I would have LOVED to see the inclusion of a primary/caucus cycle. If you really wanted to go extra in-depth with this, you could include the state caucus meetings as well. Granted, I know this would make the game even bigger, and it may be too much for some players, but you could set it up to where a person plays just a general election cycle, or a primary cycle, or a combination cycle.

Two quick questions. 1. I have two computers. One for me, and the other for my son. Will I be able to just buy the game once, and download it on both computers, or will I have to buy it twice to do this? 2. Will this game ever be available on a disc? Or is it going to be download only? Thank you.
