I've had the same thing happen to me. I'm using Vista Ultimate 64bit. Here's what I've noticed: * I have the problem with desktop ripples (LiquidDream), DesktopCollage, and Desktop Earth. * I can't get to the Dynamic Wallpaper Settings for any of these dreams when the problem happens. * I can switch to other dreams such as BlissfulDream, DryScape, ForeverFrost and the background changes. If I try to switch to LiquidDream, DesktopCollage, or Desktop Earth the currently

What skin are you having this problem with? I haven't had the problem on any per-pixel skins that define their own shadows. I don't know if it's happening on any non per-pixel WB skins because I haven't used any recently. It does happen on MS Visual Styles though, such as the default XP theme and pr

Before WindowFX 3.0, there used to be an option to make shadows fit the shape of the window under the advanced settings for the shadows. I can't seem to find the setting anymore, and now I get a rectangular area of white at the top right corners of my curved windows. Enabling that option in the previous version made the transition to the shadow smooth and there was no white space. Any chance this option can be brought back? Or am I missing somethin

I occasionally have this problem where the start menu doesn't overlap windows properly (see image). In the picture, you'll notice that parts of my wallpaper are showing up on top of the web page. I'm also running a wall paper changing utility (Wallpaper Master) that updates my wallpaper every 30 minutes, and you'll notice in the image that the wallpaper attached to the start menu is actually not in synch with the current desktop wallpaper. When I ch

I was having problems with the previous beta of WB5 locking explorer.exe when changing skins, and this one is doing it too. When the skin applies, the window borders, fonts, and color scheme changes but the window scroll bars and alpha transparent window titlebars disappear. The taskbar doesn't update and becomes unresponsive. I have to kill explorer.exe using Task Manager and restart the process. Once I do that, the skin loads the rest of the way

Thanks for the replies. The handles count for OD is currently at 996. It's been running for a couple of days. Unfortunately, restarting it doesn't help since the slow down happens right after loading OD with WindowFX in this config. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="ab

When I have ObjectDock and WindowFX (to enable shadows only), windows move slower when I drag them around the screen. I have WindowFX set to show shadows while moving, and Windows XP is configured to show window content while dragging. If I unload ObjectDock, the windows move very quickly. If I set WindowFX to hide shadows while moving and keep ObjectDock running, windows move very quickly as well. I have tried this with WindowBlinds loaded and without it, and it doesn't make much difference.
