Installing mods on Steam. Minidumps :( in Sins of a Solar Empire Sins Forums

So I bought Trinity on steam last week and love it. Started looking at mods and downloaded 7 deadly sins and Distant stars to add a little flare to the game. I put them in the folders by the spicify modpath button in the in game options tab. I enable either 7 or Distant stars, not both, then when I hit apply changes the screen fades a bit, freezes then I experience a mini dump. I have tried lowering the graphics with both mods, from hihg to low and everything in between but still no luck. I c
