Thanks for all the quick responses, I remember now seeing the destroy building icon but did not know how it was used. I went back and destroyed all my useless caravans and rebuilt them, sending them now to the farthest cities with the most food resources. There's a balance there that I haven't quite figured out yet, since the multiplier increases with distance traveled (don't know if it's distance as the crow flies or distance along roads, and trying to figure all that out is a b

How do I destroy improvements? I have searched the posts and see references to this but no instruction on how to accomplish the task. I have captured a few cities and they are -7 or so food, which puts me in a negative on that resource and I cannot build anything which requires it. I know I can destroy the city itself but would like to retain it for strategic reasons. A related question. I have read a ton of posts about caravans but have yet to make much sense of them.
