Thanks. That is the best workaround for now.

Bummer, thanks. Turning off sort does not fix it.
So I recently installed Fences 3.0.9.11 on my Win10 PC (OS build 19041.804), and there is some very annoying behavior when it comes to saving new files to my Desktop. Here is a screenshot that shows the issue: As you can notice, there are 3 icons/files stacked right on top of each other. This is the top left corner of my screen, so instead of files I save defaulting to an
Even if E:FE is a fantastic game, how is Stardock going to overcome the negative bias that will likely cloud the release? Many gamers only know one thing about E:WoM, and that is that it was a "bad game." When your studio's latest title is most remembered for its failed launch, how do you overcome that? Other publishers/developers can deal with similar problems with sheer volume (if you produce dozens of games a year, one bad game may not damage your reputation), but Stardock is smal
Demigod 2 would have to occupy some planned niche that does not have significant overlap with the more popular MOBA games (and upcoming DotA 2). The only way to fix an anemic community is with extreme change (sequel, free to play, etc.). Patches and expansions will have little impact, as the community is simply too small.

I am excited to see that Stardock is still committed to a client-free PC gaming platform. I look forward to the public release of Reactor!

[quote who="Annatar11" reply="201" id="2886196"] The same case is impossible to have for PC, it's a completely open platform. Valve has no power to say what can and can't be released for PC and how. It only has power over its own service, which is a Digital Download service with (currently) optional extras. People use it because it's easy, friendly, and convenient. Even if it is the *only* service, Valve still can't force publishers to use it, and publishers are increasingly adopting the
I prefer Python because it has better support for Crunchy Frog and Holy Hand Grenade libraries.

But next time you look at your monthly XBox Live bill and wonder why there isn't an equivalent "Steam Premium" bill, you should be thankful there's still viable competition. If Valve started charging a monthly fee to use Steam, a lot of people would leave. Of course, the important thing is that they could&nbs

I've never considered that, but I doubt it, so no.

I realize many of you weren't in the beta but as the beta group can tell you, a lot of game mechanics in Elemental changed from the design. When you have a finished game engine to work with, it is much easier to design a good game because you know what you're working with. I wonder if they will really abandon WPF. I worked for a company that used WPF for a client front-end and it was pretty solid. Some people within the company wanted to use AIR instead, but AIR seems like such a resource hog. Look at it this way Brad: Yes, your user base is heavily invested in XP. Because your skinning products are held back by your commitment to XP support, these products fail to wow Aero/whatever users. If you want non-XP users, you'll have to take the leap and produ
How do you balance design work with your leadership responsibilities? I feel like I would have to sacrifice the perspective necessary for one role in order to take on the other role. It must be challenging to alternate between the big-picture, harshly realistic CEO and the more idealistic, task-oriented designer. It is common for project managers to take on individual design tasks, but how often does the CEO of a multi-project company (not even a game development house by primary reve
