I.ve been using the RTM since it came out 8/15/2012 I have a TechNet account. I'm happy with windows 8. For me it works' for some it won't I use it for 1. Software development' Scripting 2. Video' editing. 3. Gaming. 4. 3D graphic rendering I think it's going to be one of the os's you ether love or hate no middle ground.

I have 2 Crucial M4 256mb SSD. When I got them they were $239.99 per unit. My boot time is 20 to 21 seconds to useable desktop. with windows 8. and 25 to 30 on windows 7. Everything seems snapper. Games load faster. No more defragmenting your drive. I think they are well worth the price.

You cannot look at one websites benchmarks. You need benchmarks from a few to get a more rounded and accurate view. I've seen some that have given win 8 high marks some that did not. I have a technet account so both my laptop and tower has win8 pro RTM. The ones I'm using is Fences 2.0 beta' windowsFX 5' iconpackager' ObjectDock Plus v2' they work great. I have a Object Desktop account so I am hopeing a beta for windows blinds comes out soon.
