no, the ships aren't supposed to ONLY fire their lances. The lances are primarily mounted forward, like the torpedoes, meaning that as the ships move into the enemies' firing line(s), they fire the Lances and Torpedoes. Lances are also mounted so that they can fire to the side on some ships. With the Imperial Navy (that's the race in the video at present), their ships CAN'T fire ALL their weapons in ONE direction. Which does deprive some firepower, however, where the IN shines is when

what the Vasari need is a tech that gives them the ability to Phase Jump anywhere in the map, and even to other star systems (my homeworld to yours), though the other star-systems one would require the LR-jumps; in fact, this tech could be unlocked after LR-jumps is. Why should the Vasari get this and not the Advent or TEC instead/as well? COME ONE MAN!! The Vasari are the Phase Space MASTERS, gurus some might say. Because of this, it might strengthen them, and would also fit very wel
The Vulkoras sounds awesome! I love the whole thing "My power is unmatched", and "You DARE threaten ME?!" voiceovers are AWESOME!! The only problem with the Vulkoras is its so difficult to understant. Similar to the some of the other Vasari ships, the voices are either so low or so gravely that they are difficult to understand. At first, I thought hte new Cobalt voiceovers were okay, but now I think that I like the originals better. Darvin3, you play Sins on a computer
please don't diss my opinion, as I was Advent-bashing at the time lol.
The only bombardier cap I can think of that MIGHT, mind you, MIGHT beat the Marza is the Vulkoras, and that's only because of its Siege Platform deploying ability and the passive bombardment specialization ability. In a cap-to-cap fight though, before level 6, the Marza could be beat, as the Vulkoras has Phase Missile Swarm from the get-go, while the Marza's MB is from lvl 6 onward. After lvl 6, its probably going to the Vulkoras, as it does have Disintegration, which damages ene
yes, features would be nice!
very nice I have to say. I like ships, and the overall picture. Though, the option of ENSLAVEMENT instead of only BOMBARDMENT is also something that could be viable. Your choice though.
uh, mine for some reason doesn't do that; is that I need to open up a particle file, or create a new one to work with?
1st off, the Advent DO have a refinery ABILITY for their trade port, it just only works in the grav well the port is in. 2nd, the Advent Culture Cannon can be annoying to the enemy, as they then have to spend RESOURCES and LOGISTICS (CIVILIAN) SLOTS for culture centers to combat your culture. The Advent's Illums can also tear through quite a bit, and have more shields than the Kodiaks of the TEC. The Vasari get a fleet limit raise because they are supply and also resource hogs (trust
YES, YES, IT LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) It's finally D/Ling good for me :) also, dumb Q, but xthetenth your name is pronounced 'EX-THE-TENTH' I assume? Now I have 6 WHOLE PERCENTS OF THE FILE!!!, and the rate is still INCREASING!! Sound lame I know, but before when I tried it wouldn't go past 1%. sad face when saying 1%. EDIT: WHY WHY WHY?!?! It locked up at 50%. It said that it was D/Ling at a rate of 57.2 kb/s (slow maybe, but better than 100-20
okay, so I figured out they viewport issue, now I need to know how to create a sphere/point/line.
yeah, I saw that movie, it was awesome. I think that there's a prequel/sequel miniseries or something that went straight to DVD. I saw prequel/sequel because I'm not sure which it is.
oh, well crap. rev 5 is the 1.21 isn't it? That sucks, cause for some reason I can't download 1.21.
Hey, BFG team, I have a bit of a problem- Okay, so I put the bugfix into my Entrenchment 1.03 mods folder, and it's there, and I also created a copy of the revision 4, and overwrote the bugfix in that, so that I could try out the mod stacked and overwritten, to see if there are performance differences. I get a minidump if I stack it, and I get a minidump if I try to load the overwritten folder version. The wierd thing? The revision 4 folder still works just fine.
Uh, Akkan117, there's only ONE problem. My Particle Forge doesn't look like that. What version is that, the version in the Forge Tools 3 or the 1.05 version or what? EDIT: nevermind, it turns out the viewport was over the simulation window and I hadn't moved it. lol.
hey guys, it seems the forums made TWO versions of the same post (this one), so please don't comment on this one any more. Also, Shooter, I read your post (as you know), and I think it's a great idea, and very similar to one of mine. The idea- the MSF (Mobile Star Fort), which is essentially a small starbase that is actuall a capital ship.
so basically the bugfix is supposed to stack with the normal 1.2 revision 4? or do I overwrite the existing files in the revision 4 folder with the bugfix patch?
actually you can have three weapon types per ship. The Garda's flak weapons are autocannons, that just have the 'canFireAtFighters' value set as 'TRUE'. The Sova currently only has lasers, and just has left, right, and front banks. a bank is just a weapon group, so the Sovas could easily accept 2 additional weapon types, while the other 2 races could only accept one type, as the Halcyons have lasers and beams, and the Skirantras have phase missiles and wave cannons.
also, for some reason whenever I try to D/L the file it goes EXTREMELY SLOW (like around 194 BYTES/second right now). Another place to D/L from that's faster would be nice. Although it could just be FileFront. and what do you mean by "multi-arc weapons"?
in Entrenchment you actually have that when you break a CEASE FIRE or a Peace Treaty. In vanilla it's only with Peace Treaties I think.
the only other one I can think of is that of hangar points. These are used to make the SC spawning look 'pretty', so that they don't spawn out of the middle of a ship.
I think that having SB options is a actually very cool. You could create a new ability that instead of constructing the vanilla SBs allows the constructors to also construct the other type.
I agree with N3rull, they should inspire fear.
you might want to try creating a 'GameInfo' folder in the mod, and then putting the files in there. Then you should use harpo's manifest maker to check it all.
mega_cleva_tom, there are NO links at all for D/Ling the 1.17/1.03 GameInfo reference files in TXT format. However, both harpo99999 and Dekhranic have created GUIs that you can D/L that will allow you to do it yourself. I personally use Dekhranic's, though harpo's is also a good one. It just happens that harpo's doesn't work for me.
