Gold version of Galciv, aka without bonus pak, is very uch a finished game and does not need a bonus pak to be played. Hell, the beta of this game was a solid game. If you look at the list of the new things that are in the bonust pak http://www.galciv.com/bonuspak/ you will realize that it is just the icing on the cake not the cake itself. BTW if you followed what Brad W. had to say about the piracy issue on the forums you would know better than to acuse them of releasing unfinished pr

It will take a while till you figure out the main strategies in this game. One thing you should try is trade tech (or what I do is lease tech) to minor races. That brings some needed cash to your economy. Also, in the beggining of the game if you want to crank out ships set your military production spending a bit higher (for best results 40%+). AI is not cheating it is just using all the options. ~SDC~

Well the game was planed to come out about the same time as MOO3, but then they decided to bush the release back a month. I guess all the changes they made in that last month are the "Bonus Pak" features. ~SDC~

Go to Tools > Edit Stardock.Net Account > and enter the email address and password you would use to log on to the regular Galciv forums. If it is the proper login/pass sometimes you just need to retype the pass and it will work after that. Hope this helps :) ~SDC~

I think all the downloads are going to be archived on your hard drive as a single file, me thinks. So no, you don't need to download it over and over again if you keep the archive files. ~SDC~
