Yo - go to the metaverse, create an account and log in - then press account you should be able see characters. In there (edit characters) you need to create a character or player (dont remember what it is called). I recall something about one of the buttons can be hard to spot since it is greyed out... thats all I can contribute with eventhough it is not that long since I created my char :( All the best, Rock

I would love to see a remake of K240 ! Do you have a version of the game running Metaverse? Click to the http://metaverse.galciv2.com/ and create an account. In here you create a character. Sounds like it ran fine before? And then you modded files and it started slowing down - and now a reinstall can't even fix it? Is that how it is? please clarify Did you remove all files and data in the reg-database? It is my experience that games often leave some key components after an uninstall... could be these are causing the problem, since the new install recycles these modded/corupted files... far from sure this is the case but it is a posibility IMO...
