I was in high school for Star Control 2. My friends and I were obsessed with Juffowup. That person doesn't have enough Juffowup in their brain. Have you heard the good news? Juffowup loves you. Juffowup is helping me study harder. Sometimes just out of the blue while we were all sitting around eating lunch and there was too much silence. "Juffowup!" Pretty immature... :D
I mean, seriously, what exactly prevents you from buying games on one store versus another?
I dont want another Steam on my desktop. I have a GoG account, and I hate GoG Galaxy. I Use GoG for no fuss install executables. It started to not be this thing for newer games and I stopped buying there. For example: BattleTech RPG only got incremental updates on GoG Galaxy, I got an untimely convoluted mess of executable down
It sucks that Steam won, I hated being forced into it in order to play Civ5 and Skyrim. I hate Epic exclusives too, and can't help but wonder if it is more harmful in the long run for a developer to take the money. I have one game on Epic, Mechwarrior 5. I pre-ordered, and the game went Epic exclusive after my pre-order. So I played it on Epic, and really didn't like Epic's lack of user comforts found on Steam. After that I found no reason to keep using Epic. (I wont be gettin
I broke down and bought the non ur-quan star control. As expected it is not good. Lander mini-game is bad. You have all these awesome sci-fi tropes and arcade genres to make it fun, and it BETTER be, since it is something you'll be doing 1/2 the time... "We're in the pipe 5x5... time for some excitebike/cyber sled/moon patrol mayhem as we collect some treasure!" and you get I dunno what I am doing wrong... I just belly flopped on the planet again... r
Star Control: -An evolved version of Spacewar! (I'd classify Spacewar! as one of the original game paradigms) -It had a Sega Genesis version (A small VGA monitor and shared keyboard is NOT the same experience) -The skill cap and time to lose was low enough that anyone could do well in an adhoc tournament. A great way to spend a weekend hanging out with friends in somebody's living room. Star Control 2: -Main Story: An inovative version of Star Flight
Did Stardock drop the Demigod website? Or Did you let the domain expire? ;) because The links to the demigod forums from Stardock's website are dead, and it looks like demigodthegame.com has been usurped.
Well, considering how pissed I was years ago that Star Control: Origins wasn't going to have the original aliens in it, it is pretty clear who is spouting bullshit, and that would be Paul and Fred. Clearly they also didn't have any intent to settle the publishing rights issue quietly, or they would have resolved it infront of a judge without name dropping Brad in a shit post. I'd suspect the strategy here is to try and create an angry fan base against Star Dock to damage Star Control
I've had the game for one day now (steam sale). I'm finding there is a large disconnect between the tutorials and actually playing the game for realsies. As a feature, there should be a mock "beginning to end" skirmish tutorial for each of the 6 factions. That is to say a scripted tutorial that looks and behaves like winning a real skirmish game, where you are shown things normally done in a real game.
A few of us still check in from time to time, but that is about it. Unfortunately, it has been several years since the mod community was really active. The best remaining resource for modding is to look at all the technical discussions in the mod forum. In specific, searching for Miriyaka's posts.
Good. I can feel your Juffo-Wup. I am Juffo-Wup. Take your Juffo-Wup! Strike me down with all your Juffo-Wup, and your journey towards the Juffo-Wup will be complete!
Not enough media to make decision to purchase founders or not.
Hey there, I've seen something similar. Try going to NVIDIA Control Panel, Change resolution, and set the output dynamic range to full. If that doesn't work, then I have no idea.
I'll show you all tinfoil hat... :) The bat file I use for disabling all the crap in Windows 10 actually destroys my start menu now after the content creator's update (it was working for anniversary, except for Cortana removal and xbox app removal). To repair my start menu, I needed to run sfc /scannow after running the below bat file. DISCLAIMER : DO NOT USE THIS AS IS, (unless you want to
As far as I know, Cortana is now impervious to being removed, as of the Anniversary Update. The best you can do is disable it on Win10pro as others have shown already. You used to be able to fake out Cortana by killing its task and then renaming the folder, which would allow you to use the remove command. Unfortunately it seems that only made MS redouble its efforts to harden Cortana so it couldn't be tampered with, by embedding it further into the OS's functionality.
Filthy casuals... RTFM! This is why we can't have nice 4x anymore. ;)
Here is the proper PACKAGE file for the latest mod versions. https://app.box.com/s/kjbn2a9tiimu11a0e5iu Looks like the posts are all locked now, so I had to make a new one. PACKAGE!
The post seems like an intentional contradiction to prove a point. On one hand you were born lucky, but on the other hand you worked hard for what you've achieved. Based on things you've said in the past on this forum, I'm waiting for the "gotcha" when you post again...
I'm betting the gotcha lies somewhere between the actual value of a 1 million to 200 million inheritance and a pres
A lot of what has been discussed here has been discussed a great deal before. It boils down to whether you think Star Control is a story is a story about the Ur-Quan, Spathi, etc. or whether you think Star Control is a game about the Earthlings exploring the galaxy and dealing with a crazy cast of alien characters. I am in the latter. I didn't like Star Control 3 but it is, most definitely, a Star Control game.
When you explore the 3rd Androsynth ruin... wow. There's alot of not so serious dialogs... and then that hits you... Reading that combined with parts of the Arilou and Orz dialog is some pretty *heavy* stuff. (tee hee) Also Juffo-Wup.... My friends and I used to debate what was more powerful. The great potato from the Dinosaur TV show, or Juffo-Wup.
1st time I heard it was in Slave Zero. I remember it very distinctly because the volume was obnoxiously loud on this one sound effect compared to the rest of the game. Basically every time an enemy mech spawned in from a spawn point, that alert sound was played, I grind my teeth every time I hear it. For your list Raf It's also heard in Street Fighter 4 during the boss battle with Seth, <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5FB3Q1PDawg&feature=yo
Let's be honest, Star Control isn't the kind of game that needs ridiculous graphics. A console release is good for StarDock. We don't want another Demigod on our hands. *which needs to get at least one more update :D*
Something more along the lines of... "Physically, the Ur-Quan resembles a huge predatory caterpillar." *engage imagination*
Artwork in the manuals leave nothing to the imagination. The Ur-quan are caterpillars.
An Ur-Quan dreadnought with its "Launch Fighters" and Pew Pew Pew fusion blaster is easily the most recognizable aspect of star control. Are you saying that this is NOT in this game? Jesus Christ.
No Demigod page? Infidels!
