Nah, poison dagger is so the way to go with Rook. With a swift anklet you're still not going to catch anybody else who has even boots of speed. With the poison dagger though, when it triggers you'll be smacking even that UB who took the swift anklet. It also helps you to disengage assuming you were fighting in melee (as opposed to running away from a ganking, always a problem for Rooks). I love to play Rook with poison dagger, save all my initial gold for wyrmskin, the

Nah, I agree with Zechnophobe. You *can* dump more mana than the Vlemish helm gives you, but efficiency is a skill you you develop like many others. Spamming skills can work for some builds (and I can see how you might feel that way playing TB), but a lot of the time you're better off waiting for the right opportunity to pop t

I don't know, I've kinda changed my mind on this one. Angels don't have anywhere near the straight, in your face, noticable impact of the other creep upgrades, but they do work quite well as skirmishing forces in several situations. Sure, getting them in a situation where they're feeding right into a meat grinder is just helping the other team, but they give you a *much* larger line of sight which is a huge boost on big maps. They also harrass enemy creeps (they'll do a dece

Some good suggestions here. I particularly like the suggestions around positively identifying people (rather than negatively identifying ragequiters) for future games, and think it could be taken further. I'd love an option to tag everyone I ever play with who plays reasonably nice. A simple prefer/avoid (just impacting me personally) toggle for each player and an interface to tell how many of each type of player is in a given game befo

Well, I strongly suspect that this will fall on deaf ears, but on the off chance that there is even one person who actually is trying to understand where others are coming from here goes. The whole idea of sportsmanship is that you have a responsibility to the other players in a game. At the end of the day all you have is a small group of people putting time and effort into trying to have a mutually fun time. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, sometimes you have more fun

AOE isn't nearly as bad as you'd think if you're really focused on minions. True, most strategies have weaknessess and if you go up against a good TB who really focusses on wide area damage it's gonna be an uphill fight, but it's definately not hard to overcome the AOE that most DGs can throw down, particularly if they're not focused on AOE (as most builds currently favored in the meta don't) and you *do* really focus on your minions. When my opponents try to (generally ha
i disagree. I think minions have been proven again and again and again to not be viable in a matchup of skilled players.
Sorry, just can't let this one pass. Minions haven't been picked up in the meta game yet and consequently there are very few people playing them correctly/effectively. I'll stack my minion build Erberus against that-same-assassin-Erberus-you-always-see any day of the week. QoT also has incredibly nasty potential as a general i

There should be a better notification if game settings are changed from default. Most people play with the default settings, so most people assume settings will be default. I've just played two games in a row where the host had non-standard settings and as annoying as it is personally to realize I've been sucked into a game with fast gamespeed the real killer is that as soon as it was realized that there were non-standard game settings two people dropped. I'm all for

Meh, I don't really see the problem with negative karma, it's not like it's that hard to detect and filter out most grief behavior and it doesn't have to be a perfect system to add value. The fundamental assumption of a karma system is that generally people are helpful, so the number of helpful people overwhelm the griefers/trolls. It's not like it's very hard to detect and filter people giving primarily negative karma, or always (often) giving bad karma to teammates when they lose, or
so digest = spit with a hot and engulf = foul grasp without a life drain...not very original. The level 15 synergy can't be that powerful of a heal if he has digest. This is a general, he is a man shaped demonic swarm of flies. Powers: Maggots - Power can be switched on or off, but only costs mana when it is triggered, which the player does not actively do. With a percentage chance that scales with the skill level, any units dying within a radius from the Lord of Flies is infested with maggots who consume the corpse over a period of time and spawn a cloud of stinging flies. These flies are the dem

Heh, my patented strategy of "run the hell away every time the big scary guy with the axe shows up". Our conversation went something like: "Gah, they keep effing killing us!" "Ah, but we're faster than them, how can we leverage that?" Very good game guys, we won with a hail mary from an inevitable loss.

THE BLUE STEEL BRIGADE Nasareth (*) / Aodtbonee Hey, Nasareth has emails turned off, and I don't see Aodtbonee. If you want drop me a line on regular email "dmgd dot 10 dot dre at neverbox dot com", or send me a message through the board. Tomorrow evening after 5 CST works best for us, but we're flexible if that doesn't work for you guys.

My suggestion, favor if every player doesn't object. If anybody playing doesn't have working favor, don't use favor for that match.

I find mass charm works great with a full minion Erebus build depending on the enemy demigod. The minions DPS quite fast, but they can't chase down enemy DGs. Start combat with a melee DG, all your minions surround him and he starts to lose (or if you start to lose pop mist and let him fight with just your minions). When he starts to run, tag him with glamour - and activate the bracelet of rage (which I always try to B-line for with this build). I've netted 30+ kills i

Yes, it sounds like you're headed there anyway so I don't want to beat a dead horse, but I'd like to second what nothingpants said that this behavior isn't about a lack of consideration. If I'm put in a 2v2 matchup and there is one AI I'm almost certainly looking at either a challengless smackdown (if they have the AI) or a frustrating doubleteaming leveraging all the farmed gold (if I'm afflicted with it). Either way the game is already decided and I'm looking at 30 mins of going

Everyone is aware that there are big networking problems. It’s a very frustrating situation because the game itself is so much fun and some people can’t play it at all while the majority of the rest seem to have a very painful time connecting to games. Everyone’s frustrated, and if you bought this game you have a legitimate reason to be upset. That said, I’d like to make an appeal
