While Demigod has better gameplay I would have to say HoN wins due to better support. There's new patches all the time, new heroes, and the game's interface is great. The HoN beta feels better than DG ever did. That said I wish I could combine DG's graphics and gameplay with HoN's number of heroes, reliability, and level of updates/support. I'm still waiting for new DG demigods meanwhile there's two new heroes for HoN...
I would advise not getting this game. The game as it was released was not ready and honestly I don't think even the current game is worthy of being released. Stardock and GPG have been good about getting patches out but the patches generally cause as many problems as they supposedly fix. Connectivity issues have been fixed for the most part but on a given night playing with a friend there are many crashes and errors. That said when the game works it's pretty cool. Got this same issue starting today. This game has been one thing after another...
I click multiplayer it goes to the next screen. Then I click 'Internet' and the game hangs. This used to happen if I forgot to turn off my firewall but now it's happening even with the firewall off.
