Really Interested but.. in Demigod Stardock Forums

Ok, being a former DoTA player, I was really looking into this game. But I've heard many problems about this connection issue and how its making the game unplayable. How long should I wait for it to get fixed or if it will be fixed. Please help! I really don't want to blow my cash on something I can't even play. Thanks
