Yes, Deskscapes, I conjoined Dreamscene and Deskscapes lol. Hybrid dreams allow you to add an animated image to a still image which is what I'm trying to do. Gimp always animates the entire image, even if you have selected a portion so I had to first copy the water into a separate image before animating it. Now I've got 240 frames (10 seconds) of moving water I want to paste back over the still image. I'll try <a href="http

I am stuck. I don't have any program that will convert my animated gif to a png. Gimp won't do it. One program I tried ran all night and simply created individual png files for each frame. I tried loading the gif into SkinStudio's nwa creator and it appears to load but when I test the animation it shows nothing in the preview. By the way, the standalone nwa creator is in the DeskScapes3 folder. Edit: I had assumed the stan
I will try that, thanks!
I used Gimp to animate the water portion of a wallpaper image but now I don't know how to paste the animated gif back onto the wallpaper to create a video. If I paste it within Gimp the full image is not animated, as if it only pasted a single frame. Besides Gimp I have PSE 9 (which unfortunately "accidentally" removed support for animated gifs, Move Edit Pro 15, Windows Movie Make, and Live Movie Maker. Anyone know how to merge the two images into a single multi-frame a

Ok NewGen isn't on the main page but you can find it if you enter the name in the search box.
I went to the CodePlex site and they have something called Mosaic, that looks like Metro, but didn't see NewGen.
I appear to have the latest version installed and yet my configure dialog looks nothing like the one pictured here. Why is that?
Ignore previous message. I just played with it again and found you can pin shortcuts to it. By adding pages Tiles can become a nice categorized program launcher.
I'm a little confused. The Metro interface is for launching apps. The Tiles application is for selecting between already running apps, is it not?
Hmmm, my Start Menu extends well over halfway up the screen but that doesn't seem strange to me. Are you using the correct visual style for your OS version, XP, Vista or 7?
I take back my recommendation. Some options simply don't work (for example, the auto option to switch between fan and grid). Others sometimes work. I created a stack from a folder with subfolders. All the subfolders work properly except the last one which works sometimes. does nothing other times or displays a message saying the shortcut has been deleted.
This is from 2009 but I just found it. It lets you create a Stack shortcut you can drag to ObjectDock, with a few more options than the StackDocklet 2 I've been using. So far it seems to work well.
Ok, back to normal and at least I updated my video driver.
I rebooted and WB did stasrt again but it also gave me an access violation that seems to have prevented OD+ 2from displaying any docs even though it shows in the systejm tray. Guess I will roll back WB.
Taking a chance, I updated my NVDIA driver and it appears to be working again after a reboot. Not sure if it'll last but I'll try it and let everyone know. Thanks for the quick replies!
I should add, it appears to be enabled in the msconfig startup services.
I can't find the option to set it back but it no longer automatically runs at boot time since installing an update a few days ago. Is there an option in the stacks docklet that will create sub-stacks? I currently use the flyout docklet as an apps launcher but it is very slow. The problem with using stacks is I first subdivide the apps by category. The flyout dock creates a ring of the categories and when I choose one an inner ring is created of the apps themselves. With stacks, clicking on a category opens a folder window. I'd like a stack with the apps to pop up next to or replacing the
Thanks for trying it. I played with various blinds tonight. Think Green is the worst, leaves nearly 3 inches of space at the bottom of my monitor. Using Green Plus now and that works perfectly. What I see happen is I'm always able to stretch the app windows horizontally but some will not stretch vertically to their full height. Very strange as the maximize button will make them fill the screen. It's not all apps either. IE is one of the misbeh
Am I the only one experiencing this problem?
Does anyone know a workaround to this problem: some window blinds result in applications not being able to be stretched full screen. They can be maximized with the maximize button but if you try to stretch the app window it sometimes leaves an inch or mor of screen space empty. For example, the Anomaly blind workes prefectly but the Kistan blind does not.
I have the same problem. Running as administrator doesn't change the error.
Duh! I figured it out. I have two OD folders. The correct one is under object desktop, rather than just stardock in program files. Thanks for your help, it's working now!
I tried your suggestion of just putting the UNZIPPED folder in the backgrounds folder, exited and restarted OD+ 2 and same thing, the new background doesn't appear.
