One thing to check to make sure you don't blow anymore PSUs is the outlet to make sure its wired correctly and that its putting out the correct voltage.

"Usually" with a power supply tester the +12v, 3.3v and 5v will light up green if there is good power. But read all material for your model tester because the are all a little different. Also the fan not spinning is always a tell tale sign of a failing power supply.

One way to see if your processor is running like it should is to run CPU-Z to see if it is running at the speeds and voltages it should be. www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php its free. Of course it may just be your amount of ram. If your running win7x64 its minimum ram should be at 2gb.. x32(86) is 1 gb. Where vista was 1gb for both(x64 and x32) and 512mb for the home premium version.

First thing I would check is the drivers for the processor. Also you might want to flash the bios if there is a new set available. I am pretty sure you are right about the Windows Experience Index... It used to go to 6 but now tops out at 10. I would look in device manager to see it there are any problems listed with the processor there as well.

I've noticed this myself and its usually the jurasek sentinel for the vasari.. when there are no fighters/bombers in the battle they act normally but if there are fighters/bombers they sit and wait for those ships to get close to fire at but do nothing else.

Another tool to use is SUPERAntiSpyware (free version). It finds alot.. Also IObits Advanced SytemCare (free edition)is good for registry cleanups and does spyware also but the registry cleaner is the best part of it. Also use the windows install cleanup tool(its free to download on the microsoft website) after uninstalling IE and before reinstalling

Of course dragon age and mass effect were good just not great. They will keep getting worse as EA puts short deadlines on games to be finished and then tries to get the extra cash on DLC which is a non gamer friendly business model.

If neither does it could very well be a power supply problem... If it is dying slowly it can cause intermittent problems. It is definitley not the ram... the difference you are seeing is that windows 32-bit still wont see 100% of the ram when 4gb is installed.

Sometimes rebooting is caused by the cpu overheating... maybe the fan on it died.. you might have accidently unplugged the power to it when installing the card.
