I know that nothing is set in stone yet but personally I strongly preferred the direction the original backstory to Ashes of the Singularity (as is still shown on the history section of the wiki) was headed. Where the post humans are a more antagonistic faction of the story set in a more distant future that is bent on converting all worlds and life in the galaxy to allow them to create more processing power. In my opinion this backstory was (at least for the present) far more detail

lol I see how you could be confused on its uses I mean novaliths seem so impressive nuking planets but to be honest the Kostura and the Deliverence Engine are far more useful just because of the massive flexibility that they have also one note while Kosturas do disable all structures and defenses for some time around maybe 5 mins starbases are only disabled for maybe 15secs along with all ships since otherwise it would just be imbalanced overall though it is an incredibly strong super weapon.
Granted, sadly before the trebuchets can launch the pennies the combined mass of all that zinc and copper tears apart the earth and forms the first ever penny planet. I wish that Blizzard would stop focusing on WOW and devote all its resources to releasing Starcraft 2 as its best game ever....... before next year. [e digicons]O:)[/e]

Vasari Armament pact is a really nice thing for them to offer players late game 20% increased fire rate isnt as race specific as the TEC and Advent ones Edit: Another small bug is that it says an armament pact only increases all caps and destructor/enforcer rather than all frigates
On a side note Vasari Raider Xenophobia is acctually a useful tech now. Edit: By the way a small bug is that the technology you are currently researching in the diplomacy tree is not surrounded by a glowing box. I have only tried this with vasari but assume it is the same with other races.
