Starbases, Repair and Defence Hangars are far more improtant than they were in the Vanilla version, so alreay my basic strategy has altered with this in mind. I have "Entrenchment" but never really played it so am unfamiiar with Starbases. Therefore for new, and some older returning players I'd recommend the Tutorials again. I last did them in 2008 and they're well worth doing all over. For the new player - a must.
Yes I toggled Cinematic Mode "On" and I could not toggle it off (same goes for "Zoom To Cursor"). I had to manually change the settings in the Menu to get them back to their default states. This needs addressing ASAP as it is obviously a bug.

It is part of the original game, when you play the Vesari. Read the original manual...its' pretty self-explanatory anyway. It repairs...and it is upgraded with repair drones which can be added to some of you Cap ships.
I try to update, but I get a message stating that the Patch is too big. This is ridiculous. This is via Impulse, as usual btw.

Thanks mate, forgotten I'd switched that on yesterday...what a nOOb.
D/L'ed the 1.05 Patch and everything seemed fine. Started playing a game as the Vesari and though I had chosen Dark Blue as my Empire's colour theme I was presented with light green instead. Thought it might have to do with playing that Race, but every time I start a new game as any of the three Races, no matter what colour I choose, I'm always green. And yes I have a legal Retail game and have patched correctly. I am playing without the disc (seems to have been in one of the patches)
