People who care about rank so much play with teammates(this is a logical deduction, clearly premades have a better chance of success to their increased communication and the nature of having played together). They can only do that in Custom games. So Skirmish and Pantheon fail to create a proper ranked component.
QFT

Which is why they should only count if the default settings are not changed.
I wouldn't have much problems with having to pay for new demigods but would like to suggest the following: 1. Make it, that people who haven't purchased new demigods can play against people who have. As long as the demigods are balanced against existing ones (and not made stronger to make everybody buying them) it should be completely fine to play with existing ones against new ones.
This is so so
I think what we'll probably do in the short-term is make it so that only skirmish/pantheon games are ranked. Custom games not ranked.
Like I've been saying in the other thread. You cannot do this without providing friends to play together and have it ranked. You're making people who want to play together (the people who will stick with this game) feel like chumps for wanting to play together.
Quoting Polynomial, reply 7People who want to play PUG games play Pantheon/Skirmish. People who want to play against each other in groups play custom games. This is just plain wrong. Many people outside the USA choose custom games because of ping issues. It has nothing to do with playing in PUG's or premade teams.
http://forums.demigodthegame.com/34865
Don't fix want is not broken? Just fix the stats reporting incorrectly. There is no reason to take them out especially with only 1 person (Obscenitor) thinks its a great idea. I frankly don't care if you have a problem with me playing with friends. Its your problem, not mine. I want to play games with my friends and I want them to count. Period. There is no reason to take that away from me. It leaves me with nothing. I play nigtly and always stick around for the midnight stats

Those who do not play pantheon/skirmish. pantheon and skirmish aren't even fair half the time infact last week i had 3 games in a row with bots so that arguement that we PUGS have somehwere to go is not that valid if we want to fix something make it to where PUGs can actually get even games against other PUGs.
</p

There is no reason that custom games should be counted as NA. We are not provided with a ranked mechanism for people who want to play with other friends. You would be taking something away from us. That's the last thing we need. We've been through this argument before. People who want to play PUG games play Pantheon/Skirmish. People who want to play against each other in groups play custom games. Rankings mean nothing in pantheon/skirmish games when your ranking is determined by other
Until you can provide us a way to play ranked games with my friends, no. As in a team automatch.
Thank you so much.
And I'm sure everyone who's rational here can say Stardock's performance has been exemplary. Our beef is with GPG.
WTG Shadow.
I don't like a challenge though!
What's the incentive?
I've tried to make this point time and time again.
I don't feel Stardock screwed us for Elemental. I feel GPG screwed us for SupCom 2. Right now, I'm hoping that game flops. It Chris Taylor's child, so it gets all the attention. Maybe that hope will change if GPG gets its act together. Otherwise I'm never buying GPG again and I'll make my opinion known to people considering it.
These forums are so much awesomer when Frogboy is posting around. I had a gameless night tonight. I'm still having trouble with time outs in online games and there are some simple bugs to fix in game as well like the 3rd level priests. I even think the valor flag bug exists? I feel like GPG is screwing us for SupCom 2.
You're right. Maybe its not more skill. What I'm trying to say is there is less variables on a Prison Demigod engagement than on a Cataract one with the tight lanes and plenty of towers around the map.
There's going to be more Demigod-Demigod encounters on Prison due to the map design. Period. Who ever can outplay all those encounters will get the advantage.
Lets say tower rook or minion Erebus/Oak has a significantly larger map advantage on Cataract than on Prison. Add Sedna or QoT into the equation and its a brutal combination. Now on Prison for example, Rook creating a farm is much more open to counter due to map design. Yeah maps catering to strategies exist all the way back to Starcraft. Its unavoidable. I'm saying on Prison with more action than Cataract you need better timing and micro to effectively win a game where there are high
Lets think about this for a minute. Right now everyone wants more content. Mod support increases the chance content will flow. We can really live without clan support for a little longer. People playing together are already doing it. Mod support now means better content created by people down the line as SDK knowledge increases.
Let Stardock Develop Content GPG! if updates/content comes quicker HELL YES!
I think that's the point, yeah.
I think the point is GPG does not seem to this community that they are doing their own work. Which is why I got excited where I saw a post from Frogboy implying Stardock could chip in.
Its a good idea Shade but they've said in this post we should be using these forums. http://forums.gaspowered.com/viewtopic.php?t=30434
And that's why I believe modding should come before clan support as I stated in the thread Frogboy asked about what we think should come first. We can live without it for now. We just need more ladder tweaking. The GPG net Demigod forums pretty much don't exist, Zehdon. These are the official ones. I think Stardock is different than other publishers here. I've seen no other company be more about the average gamer than Stardock. I think Stardock would put in more effort to make the cus
