Loving the game, absolutely fantastic fun but... I can't seem to get past the central bottleneck area on the Crucible arena, I play Rook as I'm still learning the ropes and I find I dont last more than 2 mins with the other characters. On Crucible I just seem to get a never ending tug of war over that central area and the two flags/gold mine on either side. I've tried a few strategies like trying endlessly to get my opposition towers destroyed so my spawns can get thru but I just keep
Ah ok, makes alot more sense now because this happened on maybe my second turn, so very early on. Thanks for the great reply, i'll definately stick at it:) Very cool game. I was always put off by GalCiv's complexity but once you suss a few important basics it all comes together.
Playing my first game of GalCiv and trying to get my head around what to build on planets. I got the impression that building factories would speed ship production and yet before building a factory on Earth the build time for a Construtor was 16 weeks, after I built a factory the time went up! Can anyone post a short but sweet guide giving the basics of what to build on a planet and how that will effect mechanics in the game. i.e if Shields = faster ship build times and Hammers = Morale
I have all GC and both of its expansions and so I have 3 shortcuts on my desktop. If I decide to play the Dark Avatar senario by d/clicking its shortcut do I still get all the improvements from TA or do I have to click the TA shortcut and switch senarios?
Fixed it. I manually entered the screen resolution in my prefs.ini from 1024x768 upto 1680x1050 to match my widescreen monitor.

When I run GC2:DL the top left quarter of my screen goes black but the cursor is still active and the game wont run?! Dark Avatar runs fine though. Anyone had this issue or know a fix?
Just wondering why I can't create Bombers and Fighters after I've built my Capital ship the button just stays grey. Anyone know what I need to research to create babies inside my Cap Ships?
How do I upgrade to get a box copy of the game after I've downloaded it?
I can't seem to drag select more than 1 type of ship at a time, maybe I have an option selected somewhere that doesn't allow me to select a whole area full of different types of ship?
Can anyone tell me where to find my manual and key layout .pdf that was included with the digi download? also I downloaded a Bonus file, anyone tell me what that is?
Says it all in the title really:) Gorgeous controls and camera movement make this game an absolute pleasure to navigate. Unlike so many other games where navigation is a battle in itself, Sins actually feels like it was designed by game players. Its a joy to control! Two highlights for me....I know SupCom had this but Zooming in the direction of the cursor..ahhh...what a relief:) and the way zooming close to a ship locks your camera to it..wonderful! Good work soldiers!
