I strongly feel that the "WindowBlinds" name should remain as it has achieved brand name status. This is an enviable position for WinCustomize and should not be diluted with a generic such as Visual Styles.

Maybe it isn't up yet, or I just missed it; but, would like to be able to adjust in personal preferences the WinCustomize Library same as on the old site. You folks did a "Kick Ass" job of holding the site together and getting it back up. Twenty dollars for a two year subscription to WinCustomize is extremely reasonable. Heck, I'm going to re-up and extend my current subscription for another two years. My new teeth can just wait.

It's going to be a struggle. A strong customer/consumer lobby to bring these jobs back home would be a beginning. Dell has recently shut down their India based tech support due in part to massive customer protest. That's a start, but their tech support didn't quite make it home. It landed in Panama where there is a worker base that speaks very good English as well as Spanish and will work for $2.00/ hour.

Wow, what a trip down memory lane! They were, indeed, good days. Funny, I always felt that I belonged in the '40's as an adult. Also, it was way cool to smoke and political correctness didn't exist (this in itself would be a great reason for time travel) Pictoratus, I still have my Pickett log/log/duplex/deci/trig slide rule. But I used a cheap wood one for exams .. penciled in formulas

Over thirty years ago many companies in the distribution business had automated warehouses. Little trains were programmed to go through the warehouse, stop where each item was stored and a human would deposit the ordered item on the train and it was off to the next SKU. The displaced persons will need to be crosstrained. In the meantime how about giving me the email address of that cute little female robot!!

The advance of sophisticated mechanization,automation, robotics, etc., is so insidious that these technologies become current realities before most folks are aware. Whether it becomes a serious problem remains to be seen. The world survived the Industrial Revolution and is, so far, surviving the Information & Communication Revolution. People will have to be educated to do other things. Those that cannot adjust will end up in the dilithium chrystal mines out in the asteroid belt. <img
