Have to say, SoundPackager has never run for me. It always & only crashes. Have tried deleting its directory, all directories, including the program directory & any directories for other users, anywhere on the machine. Have also deleted any keys in the Registry. Then rebooted numerous times before reinstalling SP. Have done this multiple times with only the same result, SP crashes as soon as you try to run it, which includes running it from Impulse or separately from the Stardock dire

Just wanted to offer a quick word of thanks... Fences is a great little program. I've tried getting icons off my desktop, but be available when necessary, for years & it's always an ongoing problem. This little programs does it with flare. Have had no problems with the program whatsoever. Thanks again.
Have had the same problem with SoundPackage for a year now, tried all suggestions, numerous times, without any luck. Always work through the SDC. Too much time/trouble spent. Gave up. (Vista Premium 32-bit, new high-end machine)
Thanks iVan, kurtin & Bebi for your replies. OD Plus (was in the subject line), version 1.9.0.535, full version (not Beta), Vista Ultimate 32-bit (fully updated), did not re-install, didn't want to have it delete any "ini" file that would contain the docks settings I had. This is the first time this has happened & have been running it for over a year, maybe two. Figured I could always rebuild the docks, but it'll be time consuming, they were busy. I was looking to see if there was an easier, per
Two days ago OD stopped loading the docks, which I've been running for about a year on a high end Vista machine. All I get is one blank "starter" dock. I've tried unloading OD, etc., however it doesn't pick up the settings. I'm sure they're not gone, simply misplaced. Any help on this matter? Arnold
I have to admit, I've tried everything, de-installing SP & re-installing it, with reboots (multiple) in between & clearing all entries in the registry referring to SP. No luck. Whenever I try to run it, it crashes. This is on a Vista Ultimate (32 bit) high-end machine. Any suggestions?
Sorry guys, I've had the same issue. Try to open SP & get a message that it has stopped working & will be shut down, Windows is checking for a possible solution. Vista Ultimate 32. SP never worked from day 1, always the same message.
Okay guys, Thanks for all the input. Stardock & all of its child objects is located under C:\Program Files, also C:\Program Data, C:\Users\Public Files, & C:\Users… each individual user including the Administrator, & under each its under the Documents folder, …App Data\Local… & Roaming… Remember a number of these folders are hidden. However, I have changed ownership to my normal desktop, eliminated “read only”, & given myself (as well as the Administrator) full privileges with all of
Oh, almost forgot, I am now running Smart Exception. So as it gathers some information I'll forward it &, hopefully, it'll aid with the upgrades. Thanks
Hi Zubaz, I do realize some of the apps are still for XP. A good example being Windows FX. It runs & does change some things in Vista, but not properly. In fact, it can do a good job of disabling alot of Vista, only because you can't see anything anymore. Because I was so pleased with Object Dock, Deskscapes & Logon Studio, which I either purchased or are free, I decided to subscribe to the entire suite. I realize Windows Blinds has its new Vista version coming available in less than two wee

Hi DaveRI, I receive no error messages. WB6B opens fine. However, you cannot apply a skin. It does in no way try to prevent you from doing so, it just doesn't happen. Yes, I have changed security for both Stardock Central & WB, as well as, changing ownership from Administrator to myself. Logon consists of one logon screen with a possible three users besides Administrator. I am the Administrator & have changed ownership & security priviledges to my normal desktop. I mentioned in my original entr
Ive been running Object Dock for quite a while now. Purchased copy. Love it! Looks great, works well, no problems. I have recently purchased a subscription to Object Desktop. Many to most of the programs either won't open or, if they do, won't work properly. Windows Blinds 5 didn't, 6 Beta doesn't. I've tried uninstalling & re-installing some of them. No luck. I'm running Vista Ultimate on a new top end machine. Any suggestions? Thanks
