No sound... except intro movies in Technical Sins Forums

I have a creative E-MU 1212M sound card with windows XP. Sound works fine in the intro movies, but all is silent once the menu screen appears. No music, no effects, no UI sounds, nothing. Sound works fine in other games and applications. If I run dxdiag and set my soundcard to "no acceleration," the sound works fine. Any other setting and I get the above problem.

Have you stardock folks been following the Bioshock DRM mess? If not, head on over to pcgamer.com -- the front page chronicles the issues with their ridiculously crappy securom DRM software (dubbed DRMshock). Perhaps this is best put in the off-topic forum, but I just wanted to say that Stardock is awesome for taking a SMART approach to copy protection. I bought Bioshock to play over this weekend, but guess what? Too many DRM-related issues. Want to know what I'll be playing instead? You k
