I can add them in the latest beta build, 1.19.
Please make my day Heavenfall and tell me how. I only see the 10 standard races when I go to select an opponent and I have the latest update, v1.19l.

I'm playing sandbox with the latest release of Elemental. I've created a custom faction that I am playing and a custom faction that I want to play against as my opponent. Can I do this? The reason I ask is because when I go to the setup screen and choose my opponent(s), I am stuck with the standard 10 (5 Kingdom, 5 Empire). How do I import my custom opponent into the game? I can import my custom faction no problem, but

Brad, I noticed that the "Elemental just isn't fun thread" was locked. I was wondering why it was locked. You seemed to take exception to Mx's post about patches not making Elemental fun despite us having heard this kind of claim since beta. I'm curious as to why. For the record, I support Mx's point. We have been hearing that Elemental will be fun and yet it still isn't. Your comment that perhaps Element

Sure, I can figure out how to play WOM-that's not the issue, but I'm not having fun doing it, so what am I missing? Why does it suck? What am I not doing right? Where is the desire to play another turn? I have no story, no tension. It's a clickfest. Just as important, Dominions 3, as has been pointed out, was not an easy game to understand. It required work. It re

Yes, I know Stardock is working hard to fix Elemental. Great customer support. Yes, I'm aware that the memory errors are going to be fixed in v1.2 Hopefully? My save game every turn finger has got epic blisters. AI improved, bugs squashed, added content. All fantastic. Yes, I know that we get the first expansion free of charge. Awesome. All of this is very good and Stardock is to b

This is one of the best constructive criticisms pieces that I have ever seen written for a new game and the screenshots really help drive home your points. A picture really is worth 1,000 words. I for one, would really like to see you write up the diplomacy section of Elemental and perhaps write up other areas, like the AI. Tremendous job! Thanks for all your hard work and love of Elemental! A message posted at the top of the elemental chat room (/join #elemental) states that the patch does not support any previous edition's (prior to v1.06) saves. I don't understand why this isn't in the patch notes or a why there isn't a warning pop up telling you before you update that updating will break your old saves.

At the end of the day Brad, you stand behind your products, which is exactly why I will stay with Stardock. I look forward to more Elemental patches and content in the future. I had a great time on release night chatting away on the IRC. Thanks for inviting us and please get some sleep.

While I don't agree with the don't buy statement, I understand why the PC Gamer reviewer made it. His observations are correct and the one concerning the archers is one I saw last night/early this morning that we were discussing in the Elemental chatroom. As for his opinions about Brad, well those are a bit harsh. Brad has always seemed to me to be approachable and interested in everyone's opinion and I think he thought the game was ready to be released
Quoting Nenjin, reply 39 So you didn't even read my review... No, I read it, and it's all stuff I noticed my first hour of playing while I was still barely scratching the surface. For all its length, your "review" is actually quite shallow.
This seems like a contradictory statement. You noticed the same things Nenjin did in your first hour of playing, then kn
I find it amusing that someone could write such a lengthy review based on two-days of play time. Yeah, right.
The length of time since the release of the game doesn't impact the validity of Nenjin's observations. It doesn't take much playing time to figure out what is working and what isn't within Elemental. The length of Nenjin's review is due to the fact that he is going into dept
@ Owl208 Even sweeter, we could summon arguably the most powerful Champion in the game, good old Torin the Chosen. Heck, he even had his own spell and every player in the game could possibly get him because he wasn't attached to a particular spellbook flavor. Torin the chosen came forth from the incarnation spell. You have to dedicate yourself to life books in MOM to get the spell so not every player got

That is an excellent observation luketan! In fact one could say (since MOM is a microprose game) that they took Civ and added magic to it. That's a simplicifcation of course, but since they already had a great city builder....they could focus on the magic and fun of it.

I agree with your points Nenjin and found your review spot on. I also echo your wishlist for the next 6 months. Since Elemental is being advertised as a successor to Master of Magic, comparisons to it are inevitable and might be helpful to Stardock's team over the next 6 months, so here are a couple more suggestions/comments to add to those Nenjin makes (hopefully Nenjin won't mind the additions) 1. One of the things I loved about Master of Magic was that
