Wow. I just watched a battle where my ship had 15 PD to his 6 Missile attack, and 6 laser to his 0 shield defense and 21 HP to his 22 HP, and lost! I'm going to try the other way and build up attack, I guess.

version 1.59[b].098 (I didn't know I was downloading a beta, but from other threads I see it's supposed to be a final beta, so I think this question still applies.) I'm playing DA for the first time and got a pirate mega-event. The pirate ships all have Missile 6/Point Defense 8. After being wiped out (the point of mega-event, I believe, though I did manage to by the privateer wonder shortly after the pirates started attacking) I started upgrading my PD and beam weapons. <b
When you're designing the ship there's an option to save it as a template.
Sent a second time...no response. Pfeh. OK, I submitted through the website. Sure glad I used the latest in digital technology so I could get my game right away. Can I cancel my order and go to the store to buy it?
No dice so far. No spam blockers at my end, either. (I have a spam folder but it's not in there....)
Just bought the digital download for DA. For the first time I was required to download SDC. It won't log in. It popped up a message once about proxy settings but I don't have a proxy server. Disappointing. I shell out my bucks directly to Stardock in the hopes of being able to (at least) start a game tonight and no joy. It doesn't inspire that clicking on a button on the website seems
