Well I played the game, and was quite stunned how bad it was. It was just like GC1 but with slightly prettier graphics. I played the mission, and started to build some ships, only to find the AI has defeated the othe AI player, so I got to do nothing. What was the point? I'm stunned at how this could be a sequel. So I've got a refund. I'll stick with GC1. But... I would like to say that Stardock offered a 75% refund. Credit to them, that's good. Okay I lose out a bit, but it's

Meh. I haven't played GC1 in a while, but I'm kind of at a loss to see what's different in this new one. Apart from better graphics. And with the old one I got into straight away, and on this new one I had two races kill me straight away as I didn't give them money. I'm just gonna get 2 hours in before going out.
And Stardock just crashed, halfway through the movies download and lost what it had got already. I'm paranoid now.
Hi everyone, I tried another mirror yeah, but it was just as slow. I don't have a software firewall or anything that would interfere with the connection. FrankinNoble, thanks for your defence. I hate when people to do it in communities I frequent, so I have myself to blame. But having said that, Marcathonas, blaming it on a "crap connection" and saying it'
I got GalCiv I on CD, but decided to use this download system to get GalCiv II. The Stardock client downloaded at 400k/s. I'm now downloading the game at 24k/s. I am very angry. I want to play it now, not next week. And now they have my money I guess they don't give a damn about the speed at which you get your game. Sorry, this is a rant post I know, but I'm just very annoyed by this. I feel cheated.
