The average human can survive 4-5 weeks without food as long as there is shelter and water. If you were to decommision your own farm, on one of your own planets, you would also lose it's population cap benefits, and any population that your planet has over the new population. It works the same way if an agent is on your f

The same thing happens if you were to dismantle a farm on one of your own planets. Exactly. For example: If you had a planet with a 6 Billion population cap, and then built a farm, it would bring your population cap to 9 Billion. Hit the turn button a few times, so your actual population gets somewhere between
Hey everyone, thanks for all the input, it's always appreciated. re: the original topic - Your "Basic Farming" improvement grows enough food to feed 4 Billion more people, providing 3 mt/wk of food. When you place an Agent on that farm, it no longer produces this food, and therefore your planet no longer has enough food to feed that 4 billion people. You'll notice that your population max will go down by 4 million. If your population was above this new max population
this is a known issue that has been fixed for the new beta build. Actually, it was fixed before Beta 1A, but didn't make it into the build before we made the installer.
Go to Options, on the Interface tab, and adjust the "Tactical View Zoom Level" slider. The lower the value, the more you'll see tactical view. You can even adjust this in mid-game and see the results immediately after switching back from the menu.
We have since fixed this problem and the fix will be in the next iteration of the build. Thanks to everyone for tracking down the occasions in which this bug occurs. C
4. The games crashes if you press one of the "View" buttons in the Ship Details section of the shipyard screen while "Nothing" is selected. I just fixed this one today. It'll be in the next iteration of the beta. Thanks for finding and reporting it. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absm
Works as intended. You still have to spend the money to have three agents in the first place, the cost of which is still being tweaked.

Super abilities are still on their way to being completely hooked up. This particular issue has been fixed, and will be in the next iteration of the Beta build. Thanks, Charles
Currently in Dark Avatar there are only three levels of espionage, (LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH).
Thanks for pointing it out guys, we're on it.
Drengin, Send your mining ship to another asteroid field when it has completed the one it is on.
While in the metaverse section of the site you can go to Account->Character Watchlist and see games submitted by any characters you have set to watch previously. You can also stop watching them from there as well.
REmery, and anyone else that may be interested... When you change anything about a race it gets saved out to a .customrace file. So, for example, if you wanted to play as the Yor, but didn't want your race and interface colors to be purple, you could change them, and it'll get saved out to a file named "Yor Collective.customrace." You can open this file in notepad after the fact and change the values of #,#,# , and
Thanks wheelOfFire! I just went through all of our xml files today and checked spelling and grammar errors with MS Word, so the next time we release, you won't see any of these pesky problems! In the meantime, you can make the change yourself on your computer by finding that sentence in the GC2_Conversations.xml file.
Eilarais, It's been fixed in the code, but yeah, you can do that for now if you wish.
There was a spelling error in the code that reads from the .str file. "Eleventhbbreviation" was supposed to be "EleventhAbbreviation"
