My component manager wont let me d/l anything, it says make sure its it isnstalled but it is, whats up with that?

I have 3 progiles on my computer , My name for everyday use (has Object Desktop startup themes, Games for gaming, and 3d Apps for maya and photoshop etc. , now if i have object desktop ( WB,Icon manger,OB, Object Dock) installed will that slow down my other profiles that do not have the object desktop utilities? i noticed that it puts it in the registery when i ran "Starter" a startup manager. Does this slow down performance any? it seems to be slower even on the other profiles

yea i figured out how to do thye object bar ones ( by accident) but i just need the windows explorer and ie to do that. I saw on a forum where someone did it but the had YZ sumthin and they said you needed object bar with that > i'm so confused about what to do and what app to do it in.

I Installed the MacPinty OS X theme for object bar and i need to know if theres a way to remove the FILE EDIT VIEW FAVORITES TOOLS HELP toolbars, because its pointless having it in the window and on the object bar, basicly how do i hide or take these off (in IE Explorer and the regular explorer like in my computer or documents)

HMMMM sounds good but when i do it the shortcut ( a questionmark) "explodes" and dissapears am i doing something wrong? also is that how i would get a show desktopp button..just drag it on the shortcut? and when i drag it onto any other shortcut on the desktop it explodes

How Much RAM does Object Desktop Take up? i am running photshop + maya for school, and i wasnt sure if it affects them as far as memory? I have WB, Object dock, Object bar, and maybey windows FX...that seems to be a real memory hog..... I have Win XP running a AMD 1900XP with a MSI vt4 mobo, 256mb or pc2700 RAM (adding 512 soon) and a nvidia ti4200 128mb video card.

I Purchased Object Desktop and after i had to reformat i installed icon packager and it installed and functioned well. Now i dowloaded windowblinds 4 and went to the install button... It says it cannot find a version of object desktop available...even though i installed the compent manager....if only that stupid virus didnt attck me Is there sumthing i'm doing wrong?? if i go to update in the registration it

I know what the programs are so i guess i should clarify my question... is there any icon sets for internet explorer to change back foward stop etc. to XP style ones? additionalyy is there and skins to cocvert the control panel and folder window to look like Xp? Will the icon packager program have buttons for a xp styled explorer? also is there any skins that will make the startup menu and control panel look like a xp OS?? Oh yea i have windows 98 and i realize the obvious solution but i dont have 100 dollers handy with me:)

i d/l the 98 set of icons and the icon packager but when i installed it it said it was a corupt file.... then after trying 2 re download it, it will say d/l complete like its saying u already d/l it and wont retry.... how do i fix this?

thanks for the overwhelming info I should have told you that i have windowsblinds trial and ObjectBar. My OS is windows 98. would i need a seperate program to install the icons? i saw a d/l that said icon bundler so i guess i might have to try that after i d/l the 98 icon package. so just to c if i have evrything straight... And all the window blinds skin will work on any os

i found a cool icon set called"XP Purple Glass Folders for IconPackager" but wasnt sure if it was a xp only button package :/ also i saw a patch 2 make different skins for differnt users ... were would that be? i,ve seem 2 have lost the website can someone answer my questions? thanks Adam
