Ok so Im STILL unranked and I have no idea how to get ranked. No were can I find the option. I have submitted 2 games to the metaverse but I check my stats online and it says I cheated in both games. WTF?! I never cheated at all! The only thing that could even be somewhat considered a cheat would be: 1) saving the game and quitting and coming back to it later. 2) upgrading my ships, going massively into debt but the com

I dunno if this was mentioned anywhere or not already but here goes. I like my ships big, bold, and beautiful... so in one game after I had eliminated 5 civs and three were left I had a huge influence rating (around 71%). I wasn't wanting an influence victory though so I tried not to expand. None of my planets were building ships and only my backwater planets were still building crap. So I cranked my research to 100% and sat bac
you forgot "All joor base are belong to Aythanaeus... And God said that was goooood....."
I want to be a ranked player but I dont know how. I have played a few games on metaverse and it still says I am unranked. I couldn't find a place to change it.
no in some cases their technology shows up.... i've nabbed a few "Precursor Rangers" in sandbox games that have really helped me out lol! I've yet to see them as an entity though. Also I've never run into a minor race... anyone else? What settings are best for having them pop up?
Aythanaeus, if you preferred Civ 4 over Galactic Civilizations 2, then please, shut the hell up, get off this forum, and get a copy of Civ 4. It's only, what, ten or fifteen more dollars than Gal Civ 2? Who lit the fuse on your tampon? Sorry for knocking the game that is Gal Civ II.... apparently constructive criticism isn't allowed on t
Civ IV did ship with campaigns.... look harder. I preferred the civ IV campaigns because you could trigger events and there was so much work put into them. Changing the entire tech tree, modding so many units, loved it, and in campaigns like Africa War they had historical pop-ups every now and then telling you about the war and it'd trigger events too. Thats effort. Thats work. Thats a good campaign/scenario. I was hoping GalCiv II would have done the same... or at least b
I've been playing the first 3 levels of the campaign and I have a few comments I wonder if anyone else noticed the same... 1) Tedious Research: So lemme get this straight. Your playing in a campaign which is intended to be an ongoing game... yet each time you reach the next level ALL of your tech goes away.... maybe a side effect of this new unknown alien identity. It's lame and make the campaign seem like sandbox games. I finish the level off before I get halfway through the tech tr
I'm definitely in.... "Don't much know these folk, don't much care to." "There's whores." "I'm in."
I hope you don't mean latin american... they've had little to nil contribution to the grander scemes of space and science contributions in the last century.... no offence... just tellin it like it is! Latin as a language itself would be kinda cool though I spose.
How do you improve Logistics? I seem to have researched a bit into it and have gotten 2 or 3 techs saying improved logistics but my fleets still can only house 2 medium ships. Again, the enemies fleet has one amazingly large ship and 3 little ones.... dunno exactly what but I know it takes more logistics then 10!
I just started the campaign and had about 5 ships around a lead military starbase. They all had 2 attack, 2 armor, but just 1 hp. Two enemy ships kicked the crap out of my fleet, they had 1 attack, 1 armor, and 16 hp. Kinda choked my pride fleet was done under so quickly! What techs do I need to go after to increase HP count? or What upgrades do I need to build? Unrelated: Are farms even worth building? Why?
I just bought the game yesterday and I've played a few singleplayer games. I've constructed military bases, influence bases, and trade bases. I also decided it'd be valuable to research some starbase techs so I can build modules. The tech says it will unlock a "so-an-so" module so I research it but when i click on my starbase it still has nothing for me to build. Are the starbases gimped or am I inept? How do I build modules on a starbase?
