If I'm understanding how the feature will work, I'd agree that the name is a bit of an exaggeration; the term "governor" does imply that the thing would be making some choices on its own somehow, at least through a set of decision parameters that BoogieBac already says are too tall an order for 2.0. But the more accurate alternatives might have just sounded to dull to the devs: "Custom Build Lists?" "Colony Development Plans?" I think he meant that

Well, if you right click on the smilie and go to properties, it should give a description in the name. User just died appears to be "SadAngry.gif", so I'd presume it means frustration, as that is what it is. The others seem to fit as well.

Did the race backstory articles for Gal Civ 2 on IGN ever get finished? I really enjoyed those. I'll have to check these new ones out. I think we're still waiting for the Humans and Altarians. That was over 6 months ago...

The fluff hypergates move vessels at one pc/wk, thus making them terribly slow... Actually, they would be less than that - much less! About 1pc per 10 months, going by the original games time system. (Hyperdrive being 10X faster than the Stargates, and Hyperdrive in the 1st game being 1pc a month. Even if you prefer to use weeks, it's still 1pc

I read about the storyline - apparently the colony ship Santa Maria's micro-impulse drive malfunctioned and was sent into another galaxy where some of the current races resided (Albeit in a less developed form). I got all this from a google search, so I'm hoping it's right! Either way, the game was apparently very good from what I've read, so I'd definitely be interested in seeing/playing it. As I said, it sounds fun, and I would definitely like to see a port sometime in the future! <im

Ah, I see. I usually play on medium-large maps, it could partially explain why I haven't seen them. Strange, though, that some people see certain minors more than others... Anyway, thanks everyone!

I was looking through the English.str, and I realised that in all the games I've played, I've never seen the minor races Alexians or Kwilasians. From what I can tell, the Kwilasians and Alexians (Along with the Carinoids, Dark Yor, etc) appear at the very beginning of the game, so I tried a few galaxies and still couldn't get them to appear. I got all the others, but those two weren't there. Has anyone ever encountered either of these minor races, or are they in the same category as th

The Alien Races overviews over at IGN (See link) were last updated in February, and we still haven't got the Terrans and Altarians. I'd still like to see that article, so does anyone know what happened to it, and if/when it's coming out? Thanks in advance!

It is very rude and deceitful from you to quote me telling you are not using logic, and then not quoting two examples in which I back up this claim. That was not the point of the post. If the point was to comment on how logic can be used to see the points you are making then I would have added the two examples. But the objective of my post was to com

And another thing, you are mostly ignoring my posts, every time I have to remind you of specifics of your irrelevant comments because you haven't read anything or used logic interpreting it.. And you seem to be ignoring the simple fact that calling people's comments irrelevant does not make them inclined to answer your questions, points and/or
