In my experience finding performance problems is rarely intuitive and often requires focused analysis tools to find the culprit. I once worked on a project where a given piece of code written by a junior engineer looked up a data item. Since he thought it wouldn't happen very often he used a linear search. When we brought the product up it performed very poorly (an understatement). After much analysis we figured out that his little search routine was b

Excellent! Doesn't work every time, but works enough to get 'er done. Many thanks.
Monnil, I have my OD+ setup the same way (Tasks, systray, programs, etc). I haven't experienced the issue that you describe. I just installed OD+ 1.3 and am running IE7 beta.
I am just beginning to be comfortable with OD+ and have been happily building my docks. The one issue that I haven't found a way around is the icons in the system tray appear to be non-changable. I have been using the right-click-properties method to change the images on my other docks, but this doesn't work in the systray. Is there a way? Thanks for any pointers... </fo
First, let me say that I have not created any skins... I'm a different kind of artist (software). This is a fascinating thread because it represents the best and worst in people. The challenge comes because as creators of art each one of you have different expectations on the response of the public to your art. Some want to have a 'perfect' skin. Others want to express their creativity and if someone gets a buzz off of it, fine. ie. BoXXi.
Last night had to attempt download of OD+ four times before finally getting the whole thing without "an unexpected server error." but I did finally make it. Maybe some "pseudo-official" participants can be an extension for the stardock staff. That would keep the other 498,000 of us from saying "me too." I would like to provide good feedback, but don't want to add to th

I'm Bill. 34+ years in the computer business (yes they had computers then). Too dang much information to wade thru! Can somebody point me to the noob doc? Having a lot of fun messing with OD and Window blinds. It isn't clear on the hierarchy of tools, skins, etc. So far I understand that a theme incorporates everything. So how does that relate to WB skins? I like wind
