Thank you. You do excellent work and I am looking forward to your blinds. I am currently using your Ubuntu 11 skin with a little bit of modifiucation to match my personal preferences. The Ubuntu Tanergince icon package from doogee on Deviantart compliments the colors perfectly. Very easy on the eyes for everyday use. I am very anxious to see what you come up with here. I can't see your screen shot right now, but will check it out w

benmanns - on the surface there doesn't appear to any consistency. When Vista and Win 7 were released, there were multiple offerings to transform XP to a Vista/Win 7 lookalike. There are offerings now to make Win 7 look like a MacOS or a Linux system. It's seems odd that your attempt to make Win 7 into a Win 8 lookalike was rejected. Perhaps there are some unstated legal issues? It's been quite awhile since I used any downloaded skins. People pour t

If anyone else was having the same problems I described above, I wanted you to know that the newly released version WB 8.06 solved both of the issues I described. No more transparent Chrome top border and one can re-color the Windows Aero theme using the substyles. Thanks Stardock for fixing this.

Thanks benmanns. I appreciate your offer. It s very kind, but not necessary. My question was more to support the original poster and to determine if anything already was available. Sorry for the slow response. After the replies I received above, I've pretty much written off coming here anymore. Hope you're enjoying your games [e digicons]:D[/e]

WB 8.05 (the latest version) fixed the disappearing Chrome top border on my system, but 8.05 messed up the coloring options with Windows Aero substyles. I submitted a support ticket, but no response yet. It's been long enough that it probably got lost and I didn't keep a copy. Not a biggie.

Uvah - hopefully you didn't intend it that way, but I found your response disrespectful. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask if anyone has seen Win 8 skins with different colors. I also don't think it's unreasonable to give a little more detail what one is looking for just in case work like that exists. I surely didn't need the leave us alone and go do it yourself lecture. Sorry about that.

Thanks Gasper. Those screenshots don't look anything like Windows 8. Also, I think the skin was designed to be used on XP - at least what the author states. What I'm looking for (and I think the original poster wants too) are themes for Win 7 like the Win 8 ones that come with WB, but with different color options and different colored (preferably glow) min/max buttons. The black Win 8 theme with WB is very nice, I'd just like to have more colo

Since there were no responses here, I submitted a support ticket. I received a request from "Brad" for screen captures to show the issues I'm seeing and submitted those. Since I haven't heard anything (here or support), I'll work on the assumption I may be the only one seeing the Windows Aero substyle coloring problem with WB 8.05. It happens. Maybe a WB 8.06 in the offing soon? That might eliminate the iss

I have a dilemma. Windowblinds 8.04 works great with everything but Google Chrome (v36 +). Windowblinds 8.05 works with Google Chrome, but I'm unable to use the various substyles of Windows Aero with 8.05, Every Windows Aero subsytle I choose has the blue color of the aero substyle with WB 8.05. Just wondering has anyone else seen this issue? Any checkboxes I need to change? Any plans for a WB 8.06 or a WB 9? Any suggestions or comments apprec
Support sorted out the issue. If you have incorrect info on your account, it seems, your only hope is to have the original info saved somewhere. Since I have my saved S/N, I'm confident I can install version 3.5 again if I need to. When I switched from 32 bit XP to 64 bit Win 7 Pro, DesktopX stopped working properly for me.
Version 8.05 addresses some technical issues some members have discovered. I use Chrome and have observed no obvious issues with WB 8.00 through 8.04. I also didn't observe an issue with Chrome and 8.05. The only odd thing I've seen is the inability w
Odd...I'm running Win7 64 bit. I did the upgrade to 8.05 over 8.04 without any glitches at all. Chrome is skinned nicely and changing themes is a breeze. I suppose I could try an uninstall and then do a fresh re-install of 8.05, but not sure there's much to be gained by doing that other than to satisfy m

I'm curious if anyone else has seen this. WB 8.00 through 8.04, all worked great for me. OS = Win 7 Pro, 64 bit. Installed WB 8.05 last night. Installed it over 8.04. Installation went smoothly, no issues. Everything appeared to work fine until I changed themes. When I changed the theme back to Windows Aero, the taskbar and start menu were blue as they are with the aero sub-substyle. The blue aero color remained even if I changed to any o

What a great read. Glad I found this article. As a customer, Stardock's Impulse period was also my least favorite. I stopped updating everything Stardock. The replies to my criticisms to Stardock about Impulse were either defensive or ignored. Your posts on the forum, forgive me, too often went off unprofessionally on posters who criticized Stardock. Adding it all up it felt to me like a company who grew too fast and was too "full of itself" to appreciate

Zubaz - sorry to bother you again, but I am still struggling trying to get support. I received an e-mail response a week ago asking me to do some things including installing a registry patch. I did what was asked and responded that what was suggested did not work. I included details. I wonder if my response was received? Is there any telephone support options like in the good old days? While I am not in a hurry, I am not a young man and fear at the pace t

Thanks! Like I said no rush getting a response. I have version 4 working fine, but at some point would like to upgrade to version 5.

I purchased IP 5.1 several weeks ago and have been unable to install it. I submitted a support ticket - Ticket ID: RRW-220-60943 Oct 22, 2012. The support advisor asked me to run a support tool and send the zip output file back. I did that. I received a response several days later that I had 48 hours to respond to the request to run the support tool or my request for support would be canceled. I sent the zip file in a second time, waited several days and

Been awhile since I stopped by this forum. It use to be one of my favorite places to visit. I suppose one can call me a "longtime" Stardock user. My purchases date back to 2005. I stopped buying from Stardock about 18 months ago. My purchases stopped when I was forced to install Impulse to purchase/install/update anything. While I understand the company's need/decision to distribute electronically, what I don&#3
