This article seems as though Mac users are completely ignorant when it comes to developing quality widgets and apps. I am not currently a Mac user, but some of the greatest innovation in style and skinning comes from Mac users. Don't go painting the whole community as mindless followers of Jobs. You tout the need for Apple to respect Konfabulator, where's your respect for those who use and develop for the OS?

seems a bit rediculous...
Well, I have to say that I do enjoy seeing "creative" skins and their authors stepping WB up a notch. Many have been works of art and I hope to see many more. But, when it comes down to it, I have to be able to do my daily tasks without being destracted by the skin itself. Some of the skins pictured above are incredibly fun, but I think I might get a headache if I used them for more than a day or two <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/jokegrim.gif" border=0 ALIGN="abs
Samurize is similar to sysmetrix but much more geeky and extremely customizable: www.samurize.com I would like to put a vote in for all three suggestions (trillian, reinlender, and samurize)!
great thanks guys!
Can anyone tell me what skin is being used by B1summers in his screenshot? http://skins2.wincustomize.com/B1uesummers/desktop.JPG [Message Edited]
B1Summers, what skin are you using?
2331 through comcast
I have to say that I too was disturbed that this was allowed on the site...
they kinda keep the world in check...
That's interesting, I went ahead and emailed Stardock concerning this question. Now I just need to wait and see what they say.
That's true, I'll go that route. Maybe it's because WB is not loaded until you've already logged in. Therefore you'd have to make WB skin things before login, or write a separate proggie for that purpose... just a guess Thanks for your input sig!
Not to beat a dead horse, but my question was never really answered. So, I'll try one last time and let it go forever My question pertains to the Windows XP domain longon box, you are asked to hit ctrl-alt-del the it prompts you for user name and password. This box has the default XP Style Blue that we're all so fond of <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIG
If the problem still persists, have you considered a reistall of WB and Office? I know it may be a pain, but you would have a fresh install of both...
thanks for the suggestions guys! this browser just gets better and better...
Thanks guys, I'll give those a try!
Well, I have seen articles on the forums that help you change the background (mine is blue, yours is black). So that's not some much a concern. It's the actual logon box in the middle where you enter your user name and password. I agree that people would be discussing it if it was already skinnalbe, my question now I guess would be if it will be skinnable in the future?
Any recommendations for a newbie who is getting hooked on firebird's speed and features?
Right, I'm not talking about the welcome screen. The Domain logon itself has the windows xp style "skin" by default. I'm wondering if this can be skinned to go along with the rest of the skinnable items in xp instead of having that ugly blue everywhere when i login.
From Stardock FAQ: "I’m on a domain network, and LogonStudio doesn’t work . . . Since the list of users is not held locally in this situation, Microsoft did not enable the Welcome screen, so unfortunately you can’t use LogonStudio to change it." Is there anything in the works for domain users and skinning for the logon? I'm not talking about welcome screen skinning. I've searched the forums and can only seem to find LogonStudio threads. If someone has already addres
Hey ShadowKnight, didn't apple shut down Y'z dock? I too would like to see a performance increase. I've tried all sorts of settings and can't seem to get much more than a mediocre performance. My specs are: MSI K7N2 Ultra mobo (nForce 400 FSB clocked down to 333 due to DDR) Athlon XP 2600+ (2.08GHz) 1 GB Kingston PC2700 DDR Sapphire Radeon 9500 soft mod to 9700 And I still get just a mediocre performance. Now, do get me wrong, I love the dock
Here's another site that tries to address this issue objectively... http://www.xvsxp.com/
ha... yeah I think I did hear something about a blackout I've been having some slow down issues for a while now (pre-blackout). I think it might just be peak hours usage. Anyway, I think I'm going to subscribe when I get paid this week (woohoo!) Thanks for the input everyone.
Do paid subscribers get bandwidth priority? It seems that lately Wincustomize has been extremely slow (so much that I'd rather go do something else that come to this site), so I was wondering if the paid subscribers get some sort of priority on the network thus accessing the site faster. I'm cable so I don't think that I'm having an issue at my end with speed. I also know that Wincustmize has a tremendous load, so I'm not trying to sound whiney about this. I just figure that priori
thanks all, i really appreciate it!
