This suggestion also applies to WindowBlinds. It would be helpful if DeskScapes supported TIFF for static wallpaper, given that people with large photographic collections are not likely to be using PNG (does not support tagging) or JPG (lossy, non-archival format). Otherwise, it creates extra work and wastes disk space having to pre-convert a subset of images to PNG or JPG to be used as wallpaper. Note that Windows 10 supports using TIFF as wallpaper.
This reminds me, there are a number of Modern apps that show up in Start8 as white icons on white background - Start8 should probably put them in little squares using the appropriate tile colors.

I prefer to clear the MRU list every time I start a new task/job, as the last job may have been Visual Studio development work, but the current job may now be photoediting and illustration. An option to darken the wallpaper on the Start Screen as is already done for the scrolling program list. I just had Modern Outlook spontaneously launch windowed on the Desktop shortly after login while browsing the Decor8 control panel (nothing touched in Decor8, just browsing). Presumably it was background syncing and got picked up by ModernMix by accident?
A glitch in Windows 8.1 RTM: When the charm bar/PC Settings is opened (not used, just opened), on return to the Desktop, the animation has frozen and no Explorer or Control Panel windows can be opened. (Tested with Vista animated wallpaper video clips). Normal operation is re-established by pskill of explorer.exe. This bug does not seem to appear after other Stardock applications are installed (Start8, ModernMix).
A couple of glitches under 8.1 RTM x64: 1. Check you haven't hidden the Stardock folder in My Documents. That breaks the lock screen functionality. If you want the folder hidden, you will need to wrap Decor8 in a batch file that unhides and then rehides the folder.

Yes, Windows 8 settings are working fine, regards the Lock Screen. Playing around, I found the bug (be it Windows 8 API or Decor8) - Decor8 cannot change the Lock Screen if the C:\Users\Username\Documents\Stardock folder has the hidden attribute (the contents are not hidden files and folders, only the top folder). Decor8 stopped being able to change the lock screen for me this week - I wonder if the latest Windows Update changed something? Is it still working for everyone else?
