The wincustomize frontpage is about 15p too wide in IE and FF at 1024 screen res. If it were tweaked back about 20p it would look better to me, but I assume it was a design choice to make it the way it is. Therefore I'd love to find out what the considerations are/were. Just curious.

That's an unexpected report because both are working for me RIGHT NOW as I am talking with you. I'm so used to my set up being the First To Fail, I'm flabbergasted to hear that these two fail you whilst actually working as designed for me.

Over at slashdot: greg_barton writes "At first I thought this was a joke, but this article from Microsoft Watch confirms it: 'Microsoft is expected to recommend that the 'average' Longhorn PC feature a dual-core CPU running at 4 to 6GHz a minimum of 2 gigs of RAM up to a terabyte of storage a 1 Gbit, built-in, Ethernet-wired port and an 802.11g wireless link and a graphics processor that runs three times faster than those on the market today.'"

How to hurt a guy: "It suits us fine the Microsoft and Sun fight about office application suites. We stay away from that. The reason we don't collaborate with Sun is that they're too small," said Pettersson.

I created mine in November IIRC. It was easy enough. When I visited it today in February I thought the server was noticeably slow to respond, but still in the acceptable range. On the other hand, it was snappier than WC is nowadays, lol! (Perhaps JU would benefit from some categoization based on affinities. As it is, it, um, seems remarkably, ah, diverse.)

Brad, you should know from your long online experience with flamewars that cynicism, stupidiy and malice are unevenly distributed in the population, lol. The vast majority of your reviews and all of us happy customers are an overwhelming counterbalance to the cynicism, stupidiy and malice some will exhibit.

Here's a fun one: I traded for Defence Theory with another race and still had to Research it to be able to have it. It's almost as if those two components of the game don't talk to each other. Also, my "diplomatic" chart/graph is still always flat-lined. Oh, and 2 UP resolutions in a row was how fast to let/make Constructors travel. Hard to get good secretarial help at the United Planets?

Is this a bug? I'm at war with the Drengin Empire. It's been going on for years. I get a 'random event' message. Seems one of my guys accidentally insults the Drengin at a dinner and they are now at war with me. Pretty random for a random event, no?

Once an area is explored or FOW is gone, I want to be able to find a planet again when I hear about it again, without having to take notes as I play. For vessels in explored or clear of FOW areas, I should be able to find alien ships I hear about, at least that are "in sensor range". There are many keyboard equivalents still missing, such as for OK or Done buttons. In renaming mode (for example) can we select to change, instead of having to press delete or backspace s
