It depends on if it's a .zip file or a .ip file you have downloaded. If it's a .zip file , extract the contents into a folder and then double click on the .iptheme file that should come with the icon set, that will then load Iconpackager and you can the apply the icons from there. If it's a .ip file you have, then simply double click on this file; IconPackager will load and then apply them, no need to extract anything. Hope this helps <img sr
.txt & .doc are the 2 commons ones I use the most. They cover just about everything I need for my everyday needs. I might rarely use .rtf or .nfo files, but not too often.

Yes IconPackager is compatible with Windows 2000. However, you were most likely trying to use Windows XP icons with it; unfortunately these are not compatible with Windows 2000 since W2k does not have the ability to display 32bit icons (with the 8 bit alpha transparency). Windows XP icons only look like they were intended to, on XP only. On any other Windows OS they will have black 'corruption' around the icon and not display correctly or reliably I'm afraid.

Ok, forget the batch file - just make a shortcut to "C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\mplayer2.exe" /play /close /fullscreen c:\windows\clock.avi and put that in your startup folder

Ok... here ya go Make a batch file(.bat) that includes this line in it, and place it in your 'Startup' folder. mplayer2 /play /close /fullscreen thepath\filename.avi example: mplayer2 /play /close /fullscreen c:\windows\clock.avi This will basically play your avi fullscreen when XP starts and exit it automatically when it is finished playing. <br

JamMeister; Yes, RegCompact does work on XP.
After you've cleaned your registry up you can then run a RegCompact program http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0%2Cfid%2C7718%2C00.asp - which compresses the registry and keep it small & streamlined.
Try deleting your cookies, sometimes they get stale and mouldy.
I have known about it for ages... but never really thought too much of it to be honest. Jam, you just contradicted yourself quite badly... you said 'I spend my hard earned cash on software that will make sure that I don't have to put up with this...'. Well... Adware is free, that's why the ads are there. You don't buy Adware. If you do buy software of course you won't also have to put up with ads. Most software that is Adware also has a 'pro' version that does have the ads, you have to basically pay to remove the ads.
Given the choice I don't think anyone would actually want any Spyware on their system. There are those that just don't care... but I doubt anyone actually welcomes it. Adware is different, not all Adware is Spyware... and the kind that isn't is simply supporting the software developers whilst keeping the software free. I personally have no problem with Adware, since I am so used to Internet Ad banners I just don't 'see' them anymore, and I do believe the software develop

Jafo, it's megaBITS per second not megaBYTES per second... so divide by 8 to get the final figure - that's how I got 1.1MB per second
sorry... should have only calculated for 6 T1 lines, so that would be 1.1MB per second
A T1 is 1.544 Mbps (megabits) per second. So 9 of them would be 13.8Mbps, and that equates to around 1.7MB per second.
