Has this issue been cleared up yet? It is now middle of 2007. I was thinking of buying, and thought I would check the forum, and came across this thread. thanks, Brian

If I must watch commercials, I won't watch TV at all then. Surely this isn't legal? Big Brother? maybe not, but little sister??? Just my opinion, but if we have to watch all commercials, cable/satellite/etc will have to be FREE!

I went over to download it, I put in my email, and nothing happened? Will they email me a link or something? If the server is down or something, thats cool, I can check back later. Its just very nice of them to give it to us for free! I've already planned to make my next computer an alien! Thats before they gave away the skin though... good company.

I personally think the furture of television is going to be what I'd call On-Demand TV. Where you could basically load any movie/tv-show etc... within a minute or so and watch it.. no matter what the movie or show was. Basically the shows would download over high-speed connections. No more needing massive amounts of storage space, DVD's laying around everywhere or waiting for the show to come on so TIVO can record it.. ha... you just put in, I want 'The Jeffersons' and you could watch e

doh... never seen this message before since running this computer for 3 years!!! OD+ must have a memory leak. Windows just informed me it has to increase the page file size and some programs may be denied more memory.

I'm all for the ODNT+ subscription. I do agree that OD+ does fit into the ODNT framework. However, the more killer apps that are put in, the more its gonna cost! Some things need clearing up though. Such as just what would be included in an ODNT+ subscription. When/if you buy OD+ what does that cover?

lol.. this is all funny. Being an ex-developer myself, I know what kind of work goes into something like these products, especially to make them so compatible on so many different platforms. I hate paying for stuff as much as the next guy, but thats kind of how things work. Stardock makes a program, they choose to sell it, you choose the buy it. Pretty simple. I could also say its pretty greedy to say everything Stardock makes should be under ODNT. with so many killer apps in ODNT already, I've

Maybe I can clear some things up. First, the vesion on cnet is for xp only. The version on SDC is for xp and 2k. So you are getting it first! Also component manager is just about phased out. You should be using Stardock Central instead to get your updates.

I also was interrested. I've used lexmark, epson and canon in the past but my current HP is the best I've had at printing quality, reliability etc... I'd buy a dell though, even if it was lexmark rebranded. Everything I've gotten from Dell has been top notch, and if it wasn't, they replaced it pronto with a new one.

I use to update/upgrade alot, but computers are so fast now, I don't feel the need, still running a P3 @ 866MHz 512MB Ram etc etc.. I don't see myself upgrading anytime soon. As long as I'm satisfied with the speed, I'll just keep upgrading the OS etc. I never thought the time would come after having had 5 computer over the last 7 years, that I would be running this one for 2 years(I think), and still satisfied.

The thing I saw in the article was how Apple is cr stuff that they DID NOT invent and is NOT their intellectual property. Its rediculous. I for one, think Apple is nuts, and they aren't the only ones doing this same kind a patenting. I find it interresting how web site are patenting things I(and sure many others) invented years before they were even a fart in the wind.

The only thing about windows being the OS of the future, is that Bill Gates would have to shoot himself in the foot and make buisness or people very mad. I could see this happening. Their policies are getting more dictating and forcing a company into upgrading to each and every new version of their software, or they'll have to pay huge amounts more if they don't. I've read that their latest policy is even worse. Its these sorts of things that I think *could* be the down fall of windows.
