it's not THAT outrageous. I also am independent and consider what Edwards said to be despicable. Explain to me what in this article is ideologically from the right. Did the right pounce on it, absolutely (what would expect - it's politics season). How you arrived at the conclusion you must be from the r

Christopher Reeve’s Death Exploited by John Edwards Editorial by CK Rairden October 13, 2004 John Edwards must have a very short period for grieving. Less than one day after the passing of actor and activist Christopher Reeve, the democratic vice presidential candidate was looking for a way to capitalize politically on Reeve’s sudden death from heart failure. Edwards found his opportunity on the stump in Iowa. Christopher Reev

It is not surprising that NY times is behind Kerry. When was the last time NY Times endorse a Republican? WOW! The New York Times? Simply stunning. I believe the last time the NYT endorsed a Republican - it was Abraham Lincoln (correct me if I'm wrong)

Sorry famamies, there were no weapons we said were there. That is a fact. The basis for the war was wrong Sorry you are uninformed. It is apparent you do not know the entire basis for the war (except the Democrat talking point).

Wasn't the reason we went to find WMd's, but once we got there, we found out we'd been lied to so now it's "to liberate them" Read the Iraq War Resolution passed on 10-10-2002. The answer is partly, other reasons delineated are to Remove Saddam and establish a Democratic government, to stop the repressi

Well, in this issue I take the stance of John Kerry, and present to you a non-socialized health care system. This is a major stretch. Read the independent analyses of the Kerry Health Plan (the most independent one is the Lewin Groups at www.lewin.com). The Kerry plans insures 25 million uninsured, 21.6

I paid 33% last year, Cheney paid 18%. I guess I could set up a dummy offshore company to invest in and portray as a loss of income but what would I live on if I stashed all of my money away Generosity helped account for the Cheneys' relatively low tax rate. The Cheneys donated $321,141 to charity, most

Something not often enough expressed. I would like to thank each of you that has chosen to serve our country, regardless of reason. My prayers and hopes are with each of you for a safe return. God speed.

I tend to lean right and in no way believe those on the left are unpatriotic (My sister and Brother in law are exceptionally left). As is usually the case with differing viewpoints, it is all about process. Both sides of the aisle want the same outcomes but disagree on how to get there from here. Michael Moore is part of the reason the left is being painted as unpatriotic. Excerpt from an article Moore wrote in a German paper (9-2003

Here's what I don't understand. I don't understand how an individual can be so upset about the tragic loss of US soldiers, but not also be as upset about Saddam's execution of hundreds of thousands of innocents, how an individual can be so upset about the tragic loss of innocents to collateral damage, but not mention Saddam's mass graves or the killing of 100,000 Iraqi Kurds at Anfal. It seems incongruent to me. Has society learned the lesson

Yesterday in Iowa, speaking to the Des Moines Register, Kerry asserted that, under President Bush, there could be a draft, when the likelihood is, that a draft is more likely with Kerry (as indicated below). It is clear to me this is an orchestrated attempt to disenfranchise the 18 to 29 year demographic. I also believe this is in direct response to the latest Zogby poll which indicated more of this group migrating toward President Bush. Fir

First of all a strong leader makes unpopular decisions, I don't think it can be debated that President Bush has made unpopular decisions. Secondly, the whole cooperation, "we should have waited longer" position is just a Democrat anti-war talking point. Give it a rest. What are the facts? The War in Iraq started on January 17, 1991 (not debatable) Iraq accepted a cease-fire agreement on March 3 , 1991 (not debatable)

Geez... 50 posts of mostly drivel. All in response to whether or not a debate question/answer was in context or not? On who smiles or smirks? How about exerting more energy on becoming informed? Any reasonable person that has followed politics for some time KNOWS the spin machine on both sides of the aisle is chugging along as always. Even FactCheck spins at times. The Republicans are spinning Kerry's votes against tax-cuts (though they're still
