Not knowing how you set the path for the drive (which sounds like the situation)the easiest workaround would be to open MY Computer in windows explorer, right click on the drive, select Create Shortcut, allow it to create it on the desktop, then drag that icon into OD, and then edit.

Windows 2000 and XP are built on the same platform, and I've never seen/heard of such a thing as a DVD player that would not work on a computer that would run XP. It's a plug and play device, XP should have the stock drivers for the device so as long as you install it correctly (master/slave/cable select pins) it will work just fine. Robert

Windows Explorer will not make a sound when closed, all the other title bar functions will use the sounds set except for the close X. XP SP2, WB 5.5, SoundPackager 1.0, using Lore as a blind at the moment.

Is there a tutorial on the proper use of Theme Manager? For instance, should I apply the wallpaper in Desktop X, WB, Theme Manager, or all 3? Then should I set all the components to load on start up or just Theme Manager? Rather than a trial and error session I thought I’d try asking first.

WB 5 (latest build SD Central) With WB loaded Yahoo Jukebox encounters an error and then closes. If I un-load WB and then open the Jukebox all is fine. With the Jukebox working if I load WB it pops up an error and closes. I suppose the answer would depend on what you wish to accomplish with the software. For camera photography and related graphic work, the product you are most comfortable with would be my answer. For total control (+ steeper learning curve) PSP X gives the best bang for the buck. Check back a few days in this forum for a great deal on PSP X. Robert

Not being a Gimp user I may be out of line here, but I do know that adding lots of font to windows is never a good idea. I just checked my font collection folder (1.3 gig) and I use a lot of them all the time with out slowing down anything. Most I know use decorative fonts for graphic applications. After thinking about Phil’s question on OEM compared to a full blown box edition, my personal experience with many software titles, is that there is no difference in the program itself or any of it’s functions [including all & future updates per that Co’s policy to all legal copies]. Pretty packaging, optional software (usually shareware) and a printed instructional manual for the security of “The Boxed” edition never made me pay (in this case) $129.95 for a piece of software I could get for $29

Correct it's just a cardboard jacket with the CD key stamped on it, but it's the full version.
