Found some help...go to the "graphics and font fixed" message from citizen redneckhillbilly...worked for me!!! Off to play the demo I go!!!

Redneckhillbilly--you rock!!! I have been fighting with the demo version of this game for the last three days!!! Thanks, you've saved my sanity...and my marriage.

I've downloaded the demo, because I wanted to see if the game would run on my system before I spent the $$$. The demo runs the intro screen with lots of garbage appearing, then crashes back to the desktop. Yes, I'm running WinXP SP2, with DX 9.0c and a wonderful Nvidia FX5200 card. I kicked my screen resolution back to 800x600, 16-bit, but still didn't help. I've already tried the "no intro" without any effect...it still wants to run the intro, and
