This is annoying: With AIM6 running, in your Systray on ObjectDock: 1) Right-click the AIM icon 2) Go to click on something in the menu If it takes you more than about half a second to get to that menu item, the menu is gone. An event in ObjectDock must fire that makes it clear. Very annoying.

Stardock has its own problems but I think this really is just Stardock taking crap for Microsoft's problem. Why the heck would anyone pay $400 for a home OS? Vista's a mess and a giant waste of cash, and these kids are posting complaining that they don't get more for their wasted money. You're right, I was able to get the bug to trigger, just much later. Sucks. What's even dumber is that now that I've purchased the StarDock package for $50, I've learned that the one product you DON'T get with it is ObjectDock! How dumb is that? What a waste.

Feature Suggestion: App Containers in ObjectDock Stardock Forums

One common thing I do is start a set of applications and leave them open most of the day. Since I use the "Show Running Applications" (at left) feature of ObjectDock, this means I have several icons to the left. I'm looking for a Windows XP mod that can dim windows, either by a command in the System Menu or simply dimming any Inactive window. I'm talking about the entire window, not just the skinned portions. Dimmed, not made transparent, although very slight transparency might also be interesting. Does such a feature exist in either Window FX or Window Blinds?

I've had this problem since 2 years ago with ObjectDock 1.2. I reported the bug back then but wasn't clear enough and was told it couldn't be reproduced. It's good to see it's been confirmed here. As I said last time this is the one reason I haven't bought ObjectDock yet. I love it and use it every day, but this broken feature means I need to perform a lot of workarounds to work with it. Littleboy, thanks so much for writing this! I'm a .Net Dev and I use ObjectDock at home and at work, gonna give the SDK a shot right now. Any chance of a .Net 2.0 SDK? VB#? You mean VB.Net? Yes VB.Net should tie into this Interop Docklet just as well as C#. It's all .Net so it all works.

This issue might relate to how specific programs behave, though I'm not sure what about that behavior it would be. Firefox and Eclipse (an open source Java development program) are the 2 most common to cover up ObjectDock for me. Eclipse does it constantly... every time I run a JUnit Unit Test in it, this bug occurs.

Same problem Object Dock 1.2 WinXP SP2 Dell Dimension 4600 Object Dock 1.1 had the exact same problem.
