An update: it does not just crash during a game. Today I played a game, went to the main menu, and clicked "Print Shop." It then crashed to desktop. Also, the mouse issue I also described seems to only happen when I plug in my mouse, not when I use the touch pad on the laptop. None of these problems happen when I play other games with more intense graphics. Thanks.
I have the latest version of TPM. During about half of the games I play on my new computer, the game quickly and cleanly crashes to the desktop. Also, the mouse cursor constantly flickers, and sometimes when a new turn stops, it jumps to a different part of the screen. It never did these things to me on my old computer. I just got an e-mail that said it was approved, and there was a link to my two candidates. Should they appear in my personal gallery or in the main gallery? Because I can only get to them through the link in the e-mail.

I haven't been successful in uploading candidates to the library. Whenever I click "submit" on the form, my browser makes animations -- like the green loading bar on the bottom -- that suggest it's loading something, but after a few minutes, nothing changes. I see my filled out form in front of me with no indication that my upload was processed.
I played 1.5 release version once and have the same VP problem as phoenixman. The computer doesn't seem to pick a running mate.
It should also tip you off becasue Maureen Dowd is not stupid enough to call Congress "the legislature."

While I'm talking about things disappearing, I have another small issue: in 1.4/1.5b, when I minimize TPM by Alt+Tab or something, and then switch back to it, several 3D elements of the bobble-heads will become invisible, in the opening screens, and, if I'm not in icons-only mode, in the game. I've experienced this problem in 1.4 and 1.5beta. When I'm in icon-mode, and there are many items (buildings, advertisements, and/or operatives) in a given state, if I try to select that given state, I can't. Instead it selects one of the items in the state. I click a spot that appears to be empty with soem empty space around it, and it still selects the item, rather than the state.
