just got this update on sdc but windowfx fails to install. anyone else having this prob? wondering if it is sd or me. error reads > Extract: C:\DOCUME~1\John\LOCALS~1\Temp\sdcentral\Base\broad\bottom.bmp_ 0 (file not found) Result: Installation failed (27)
Viewsonic vp201 series here. i like it so much i am actually considering getting a second one for dual display. great for gaming and tv/movies. definitely stick with 16ms response time or less.

just my 2 cents but why are these 2 new items not configurable to be hidden in sdc? no offense, and i'm sure these are great new additions, but i am not interested in them at this time. if intent was in fact not to let user hide new "shareware" in sdc, then i feel like they are being 'pushed' in the wrong way. hopefully new build of sdc will correct this? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.g

thanx yrag - i had check for beta ticked. changed it to sdc release and ticked 'prompt before updating' and whadya know, it worked.
component tray showing sdc update but sdc won't update when prompted. before i pull anymore hair outta mah head, is this happening to anyone else?
oops...i stand corrected chris. all 6 groups checked does seem the only way for now.
try deleting dicussion folder and restart sdc. caught it in newsgroups.
oops...that is v1.0.2. i had no problem getting current version from yrag's link. check your internet options.

well now, if bootscreens hadn't been a choice in the poll i guess there wouldn't be this controversy. imo if stardock doesn't intend to create their own boot screen changer then bootscreen section shouldn't even be considered here. as other users have noted, there are plenty of sites out there for the boot screen enthusiast. unless of course this is the only site they are able to navigate to.
rainlendar was my vote in the 'other' category in wc's latest poll. there are plenty enough bootscreen choices on other sites to warrant putting it on wc. imo. as far as bothering to change bootscreen, as brief as it is seen(or isn't), it's still nice to change to complete your customizing experience. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by SkinBro
