This card will probably retail in the $500-$700 range. I really don't understand why anybody would pay a price like that for a video card. Granted it's great for gaming, but man! get a console for crying out loud if your main purpose is gaming! LOL Anyway, anything above $125 or so for a video card is just too much for me.

Indeed, this skins doesn't look the best in Firefox. The inactive tabs and the status bar are dark with black text, making it impossible to read. Otherwise, amazing skin though. Love the taskbar and the start menu.

The problem with CrossOver or Wine is that it typically supports one version down, and to me that's not good enough. It supports Office XP when Office XP 2003 is the current latest version, same for Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop, etc. It will be good enough only when I can buy the very latest software - even if it was just released today - and install it on my Linux OS. Then and only then will I be able to flush my Windows partition and use only Linux. Or in this topic's case, OS X.

What's your file system? Writting from Linux on NTFS is still experimental and I wouldn't recommend it. But to answer your question, only root can write to a Windows partition, but there are ways to get your user access anyway by editing a file. Personally, I never write to my Windows partition because I don't want to change the possible loss of data.
