Dubz, we are a republic. Look at how the founding fathers set up our government. It is a represenative government. True democracy is where the entire people vote on every issue. That is what a democracy is. A republic is where the people vote on represenatives who then go to the government and do the voting. Look at the basic documents that our government were founded on. They all point to a republic.
I have a simple way to solve your problem Michael. Move. Go to another country where you think the government is more honorable and stands for something better than we do. Not so true. Kerry voted against every major weapon bill that came up in the senate in his 20 years plus voted to go to war then voted not to fund it. That leaves the president as the only one that wants military spending. And as for Lord, I think you should re-think your view on military spending.
