BTW, folks -- since I've got your ear -- how can I backup my entire Object Dock setup, so that I can restore it in the event of a system crash that screws it up? I've created a number of customized docks around the perimeter of a dual-monitor desktop, and I don't want to re-invent the wheel if the objects, backgrounds, settings, etc. get lost in a crash. I've been "archiving" Object Dock from time to time in Impulse, but I don't think that's really a backup of my customized docks.

Not really, frankell. It seems that the [Tile] settings you provided had the effect of reducing the size of the application icons, but not the thumbnails of the running applications. I want to reduce the size of the thumbnails (or, alternatively, create more space in between them with some other config setting). I sometimes have 8 or 10 applications or document windows open at once, and I like the thumbnails on my taskbar dock, but the thumbnails practically touch other in a way that ma

I'm using Object Dock Plus 2. I want to add space between thumbnails of running applications on a Zoomer Dock. I know how to add separators between static objects on a zoomer dock, but I don't think it's possible to add spacers between thumbnails of running applications on a dock that includes running applications automatically as objects. And besides, I wouldn't want to add as much space as a separator anyway. i just want to spread out the thumbnails a little through

Is there a way to tweak the configuration file of a dock background to provide more space between the objects on the dock? I use thumbnails of running applications on one of my docks, and the thumbnails are so close to each other on the dock that its not attractive. If I could add 20 pixels between each thumbnail, it would spread them out. Should this happen. I am running WB 7.01 on Win7 Home Premium. I downloaded and applied the Win7 sub-theme of Stealth (a great theme). When I drag other types of documents onto an ObjectDock dock (e.g., Word and Excel documents), I get a nice thumbnail that serves as a shortcut to the document. Oops! Zubaz, I just realized that I told you wrong in my reply a moment ago. In my haste, I had NOT unchecked "Enable MCP notification area support." So I unchecked that option, rebooted, and Windows loaded up completely without stalling. WindowBlinds and ObjectDock also loaded without error. Hooray! You solved my problem! You are a prince. Zubaz, I just looked at the settings again and I now see that you were referring to the second and third options from the bottom of the General subsection WITHIN the General section on the left. Those two options include "Enable MCP Smart Startup." I already had those options unchecked. So that doesn't seem to be helping.

Thanks, Zubaz. I'm sorry to say that didn't make a difference. Are we looking at the same options? When I go to Tools|Settings in SDC, the second and third options from the bottom of THe General section are "Clear download cache on Refresh Application Data"(second from bottom) and "Automatically install purchased products from store"(third from bottom). That doesn't seem to be what you have in mind. I did change some other settings, in an effort to trim down what SDC does auto

Thanks, that sounds like a posssibility. But how do I do that? I don't see any such option in the WindowBlinds configuration screen (or the taskbar popup menu), or in Stardock Central. Is here another place to configure SDC options? I really appreciate your help.

I'm a big fan of WindowBlinds and ObjectDock. However, I find that sdmcp.exe constantly interferes with the bootup of Windows XP. Every time I start Windows, I have to go into Task Manager and terminate the sdmcp.exe process. After I do so, Windows continues to load and everything works fine, but it's an irritation to take that step. Any thoughts or suggestions will be MUCH appreciated.
