In respone to the thread question "Is the windows enhancement community ready for heavy graphic skins?": You overlook that before msstyle's and the minimalist stuff came along, almost all the skins in the WB scene were pretty much graphic heavy. (Since people actually made creative stuff back then). If you want a modern example of a 3D skin, look at the T3 skin or The Toon-XP by Mormegil. It's not a new trend, and it's hopefully not a dying one either

I had that happen on one of my laptops a while back. When I would right-click the Start menu and programs menu would close themselves. I had never heard of it happening before, never found a fix for it either.

"I feel a bit that the skins from pixtudio and skinplant have a bit too much of a 'photoshop feeling'. No offence, its just the style. If you compare them to some skins of TSF you can clearly see the diffrence between the 2d and 3d style. It's people like Grim who cause these sort of unneccesary events to occur, as his post here just demonstrated. Smoke's post was right on the money. If everyone thought the same way he does, the skinning/theming scene would be a lot more enjoyable again, and there would be a lot more respect going around.

Are you using a 'Textback' Image that sits behind the titlebar text? Also, check the left and right margins of the top border image too, and make sure they don't overlap.

You need to have some, because by design Windows always uses swap file, even if there's a ton of RAM to spare. God knows why though, it's rather impractical really since it'd presumably be faster to write straight to RAM than the page file. Would be nice if they did something about that for Longhorn. Although by the time that's released, we'll probably be using bio-neural gelpacks for memory then....

10GB for a swap file?? That's wastage. You only need a few hundred MB at most really. As for parition sizes, you can have as low as you want. If you have more than on HD on the system, it's better to set the swapfile onto that drive, then Windows won't be trying to access the swapfile at the same time as doing normal operations off the main HD, if the swapfile was installed on that. It's not a noticable increase in performance but it is more efficient.

You should have done more studying and researching Litestep before running it. But anyways, if you used the version that came as an installable version (i.e. didn't just unzip to your HD), if you go to the Litestep folder, somewhere in there there's a small app that will let you switch back to the regular explorer shell. Once you use that, reboot and you'll be back up and running again.
