Well, I actually used the the Restore Windows Sounds button on the welcome screen which I now see they both seem to do the same thing. Didn't work though. It sets the theme to "Windows Default" but the MS Money sounds are still MIA. I should clarify that, the sound files are still there, just not associated with the MS Money Events.

I recently installed Sound Packager via SDC. The install went very smoothly and I downloaded a package and applied it. The problem is that it wiped out all the sounds for Microsoft Money 2007. I tried using the Win XP control panel applet for sounds to add these back but even after hitting Apply they don't "stick". Why would these sounds be overwritten if they're not included in the package? More importantly, does anyone know how I can get them back? I am thinking I might need to unin

Thank you all for the information, I really appreciate it. I'll try a comment on the original boot skin and see what turns up. It's not really a big deal if I can't get the permission (I'll just go a different route) but doing things right is important.

What better place to ask such a question but right here in the forums. I have a boot skin that I downloaded quite a long time ago and would like to use the image as a base for a new boot skin. I don't think it's right to simply use the image without first asking permission so I tried to find the person via the site. I was able to find their original boot skin but cannot find any way to be able to contact the user. Where do I go from here? What options do I have? Should I just aband

Actually the shadows setting works just fine. It's just the "Show window contents while dragging" that I am experiencing trouble with. Sure enough though my setting are 1280 x 1024 at 32bit color. I couldn't image using less of a color setting with my 17" LCD.

I tried doing the whole shut down and restart bit to no avail. I haven't had any other problems either. I don't think I want to go through all the hassle/effort of a reinstall just for the "Show window contents while dragging" setting. Oh well, I was just grasping at straws.

I've been pulling my hair out about this and figured I'd see if anyone had any ideas. I am having a problem with the standard Windows option "Show window contents while dragging".
