Understood. However, with 6 users on my PC it'd be nice to be able to just decide "install for all users" or "install for current user" at installation time. I'm the only one with enough icons to need it. That way I don't have to go in for 6 different users and turn the functionality OFF for everyone else.

I love fences... LOVE IT! But the rest of the fam (wife and kids) don't know what to make of it. An install only for current user option would be cool, or a way to disable it for specific users would be cool. I second the other feature request post about being able to collapse a given fence. That would be slick.

Ok for the record I've been an Object Desktop subscriber for YEARS. I use a ton of their products, I subscribe to the gaming network, etc. I've been looking for something to give me a heads up on my system for a long time. Nothing ever really hit the mark tho. Widgets are cool, and some of them are very slick and functional. But nothing gives me the ability to add 'more' to them without diving in and learning how to make my own with DesktopX (which I'v

PCWorld has an article on 'Secret Tweaks'... the article discusses various optimizations you can do to your system. Whaddaya know but on the Make Windows More Efficient page is a huge blurb on Stardock products! http://www.pcworld.com/howto/article/0,aid,119267,pg,3,00.asp

I find it funny that in the US this is even a hot topic. Nowhere else in the world views it this way but here in the US. This debate is really a clear PR campaign (called the Teach the Controversy campaign" created by a very smart think tank called the Discovery Institute which seeks to inject intelligent design into public schools. Here's the thing... intelligent design is NOT a scientific belief. It's a religious belief. There's nothing wrong with it

Saint Thomas Aquinas called it the First Mover (http://www.faithnet.org.uk/AS%20Subjects/Philosophyofreligion/fiveways.htm). The problem with this logic is that the first mover must also have a first mover... and that first mover must have a first mover... and on to infinity.

I think CrispE is righton here. I prefer foreign cars. Not because I'm anti-American. I prefer them because experience has told me they're more reliable (I've owned several of each). Oh... and my wife owns a service shop and every mechanic working for her either prefers "vintage" American cars, or newer foreign cars. I also don't know why believing "…the average American is "stupid" or "a sheep" or "brain washed"" makes me anti-American. It just makes me anti-idiot. Have you dealt with

Not only that, but the UN weapons inspection team continually indicated that there was no evidence supporting the claims that Iraq had WMD. While WMD may not have been the only reason to get rid of Saddam, I believe it was to most ordinary American's why we were sending our troops there. It was also what was sold to the media as why we had to act now, instead of giving the weapons inspectors time to do their job.

I've seen several threads, but none address my issue. The United Planets screen crashes EVERY second time I play. I opened debug.err and noticed something strange. I'm consistently getting this error: "ASSERT ERROR in file G:\PROJECTS\pear\SOURCE\MWIN.CPP at line 397." Drive G: is a virtual drive used by Alcohol, a virtual drive mounting program. I'm assuming the developers might have a G drive and that it's looking for something there. I'll change the virtual drive letter and post if it fixes i

Hey gang! First things first... I bought GalCiv, holy snot. It's what MOO3 wanted to be! I played for 11 hours straight when finally the lil woman pulled me off the pc and made me put the kid to bed. This game totally has that "ok, just one more turn and then I'll quit" feel to it. The RSS or RDF (whichever it is) backend is writing out incorrectly. News feed programs and sites like DailyRotation.com (awesome site btw) aren't getting feeds that lead to the stories correctly.

bink? not sure what that means. But, I do know that the issue didn't come up at all when I played with a smaller map. Would the provide any clue as to which bink I'd need to whack? ~SDC~

I just purchased/downloaded GalCiv yesterday. Started playing today. So far it looks like what I wanted MOO3 to be. Looks AWESOME... but, I can't play it. After about 20 minutes of play, every 4-8 turns the game crashes.
