Kitty... did you point SKS to the renamed logoff screen? I have had to shorten names on some of my stuff too. Generally, what I do is this: go to the windowblinds folder, open the folder for your blind, right click on the image for your logoff screen, select re-name, shorten the name. Then open the blind in SKS, go to the section with the logoff screen, click the logoff screen, then scroll down to where the re-named image is (it is usually way down at the bottom), select it, and voila!...yo

pic...I can't even figure SKS 6 out at all! I've opened it a few times, and was completely lost...so, I am sticking to SKS 5 for now. I read in some thread that we should use SKS 5 for XP and SKS 6 for Vista. Since I only have XP, I am gonna stick with SKS 5 for now.

Well, I just updated my WB 6 to the latest release (dated 4-17), and now, I have a slight blue edge on both the logoff and shutdown screens! This is nuts! It is not as noticable as on the image linked above, but I can see it. Now what? Any other suggestions?

I don't use SKS 6, but SKS 5. But, I imagine, the fix is the same in both versions. The content margins of the system tray have to be adjusted.

I'm working on another skin, using WB 6 and SKS 5. One of my testers is having that dreaded blue stuff coming in behind the cancel button on her logoff screen...the shutdown screen is fine. I am unable to reproduce on my pc, and neither is my other tester able to reproduce it. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this? In SKS 6, go to the start menu section > top Part > extra settings > Hide shadow on Start Menu. You need to enable it...it is disabled by default.[I][/I]

Geez...where do I start. At 14, I entered the workforce in a bakery. Then went on to become a bartender/server for about 20 years on and off between having my kids. Then, at 35, I was back in college, earning my nursing degree. Been an RN for almost 25 years now. Presently, I am semi-retired...still work about 2 days a week. In 2 1/2 years, I will finally hang it all up and fully retire.

james, From what I can see in comparing your code to my code for the progress bar, you are missing some settings. May I suggest you download one of my skins, and open it in skin studio, and compare your code with mine. One big difference is that I use tga (pngs that SKS converts for me) for my images. Also, you don't have settings for stretching/tiling of your images in your code. When I was first learning how to do stuff, I would open other people's skins in SKS and see how they did what

James, the code I am referring to is the lines you have to add in the code tab for the per pixel shutdown and logoff screens...at least in SKS 5 you do. They are: Trans=1 and PerPixel=1. You don't have to do that for the wait screen though...it is already there.

james, I skin both the regular and the per pixel shutdown/logoff screens. I use basically the same image for all of the them, but make the image for the regular a bmp, and the image for the per pixel a png...skin studio converts it to tga. And, again, you have to put the code in for the per pixel screens, or they won't show.
